In May of 2019, Jennifer Dulos, a 52-year-old Connecticut mother of five, suddenly disappeared. Authorities began to suspect her estranged husband Fotis Dulos, who had started an affair with another woman. The couple had been in a costly divorce battle and Fotis had lost physical custody of their children. In March of 2010, 34-year-old Jamie Laiaddee goes missing from a Phoenix, Arizona suburb. Ten weeks pass before anyone begins to worry. Investigators zero in on her boyfriend, Bryan Stewart, who, as it turns out, doesn’t exist. Who is Bryan Stewart, really? And can the police trust his story, that he helped Jamie disappear? On the evening of April 7th, 2006, Matt Baker, a Baptist preacher from the small town of Hewitt, Texas, goes out to get gas and rent a movie for the night. When he returns home, he finds his wife, Kari Baker, dead in bed with a suicide note nearby. Local authorities rule it a suicide and the case is closed. But Linda Dulin, Kari's mother, and her family don't believe it and hire attorney Bill Johnston and his team of investigators to look into the circumstances of Kari's death. Erin Moriarty revisits her investigation into a double murder committed by then 15-year-old Daniel Marsh, who has just been granted permission to appeal his prison sentence. An elderly couple is stabbed to death in their Davis, California home, with no evidence left behind. But months later, cops receive a phone call that places suspicion squarely on a former local hero. On the morning of February 5th, 2015, Tulare County police officer Daniel Green took his son to school and then returned home. While on the toilet, he is shot dead. Police have no gun, eyewitnesses, or DNA evidence. During routine questioning the following day, Daniel’s ex-wife, Erika Sandoval, tells police she hasn’t visited Daniel’s house in weeks, but her story appears to contradict a neighbor’s surveillance footage.
