What are the quick notes?!

1) You need to let your subconscious mind know that a positive experience is possible for you. You've heard so many negative stories - think about how the word postpartum has shifted it's meaning over time (when you ask most people what it means). We need to swing the pendulum back to positive, and anchor in healthy beliefs about the newborn stage that will translate into a better experience in your reality.

Journal on these 3 questions:

1. what have you heard about the postpartum stage?

2. what negative stories or limiting beliefs have you heard about the first few months with a baby?

3. If you were really honest with yourself, how would you love the newborn stage to feel?

Then, 2) Show yourself evidence of moms who share authentically AND have a positive perception of it. Learn from them. Listen to their stories, their beliefs, their mindset, their response to stress. Sometimes poor mental health postpartum can feel blindsiding. Especially if you're someone who typically isn't prone to anxiety or depression.
