With so many faceless NMN suppliers now flooding the marketplace with NMN supplements and gimmicky NAD boosting products, what can you do to separate the wheat from the chaff?
The bottom line is that the NMN suppliers just want your money and they will use all the marketing techniques at their disposal to separate you from your hard-earned cash, but that is normal, they are not breaking the law…and nobody goes into business to lose money.
So, as an informed buyer you need to be looking for the things they are ‘not saying’ and the certificates they are ‘not posting’ on their websites or Amazon and eBay pages.
Although the price has come down significantly NMN is still expensive, so you need to be sure that when you do finally hand over your hard-earned cash, you get exactly what you want.

So how much of this NMN do we need to take to affect our NAD levels?
In the Joe Rogan podcast and in his book ‘Lifespan - why we age and why we don’t have too’ Dr. David Sinclair describes how he takes 1 gram of NMN a day.
He does this because it reflects in human terms the dose he gave his mice
I started by taking 125mg a day for the first 2 or maybe 3 months to see how I felt.
There is a lot of anecdotal evidence out there with conflicting comments ranging from ‘125mg of NMN has had absolutely no effect on me at all’ to ‘I can’t sleep at night because my energy levels are still extremely high; 8 hours after I took it’
For me there were a few nights of restless sleep, but only for about 5 days.

So, if you’re listening to this, I expect you too are at least middle aged and interested in longevity - and if not longevity then how to make the years you do have left as enjoyable and rewarding as possible.
So how or why did my journey start?
For me I started to notice a marked decline in my stamina and recovery from exercise and from injury as I entered my fifties.
My NMN Experiment will chart my progress as I take NMN as a daily supplement. I started my experiment on the 22nd of April 2019, which was also my 55th birthday.
I am acutely aware that NMN is not a silver bullet, and that other factors such as quality sleep, correct nutrition, regular exercise and a data driven, targeted approach to supplementation are also essential. I was once asked if I could choose how I was going to die; how would I like to checkout? To which I replied, ‘knocked of my mountain bike…at the age of 93.' – however, with the current speed of scientific discoveries in the anti-aging field, I would now like change my reply and shoot for 101.

My Longevity Experiment
My Longevity…
It’s not a midlife crisis and I am not looking for the fountain of youth, I don’t want to live forever, we are all getting older, and we are all going to die; this experiment may not extend my lifespan, but research has shown that it should improve my quality of life and extend my healthspan.
I was once asked if I could choose how I was going to die, what would I choose? To which I said, ‘knocked of my mountain bike at the age of 93.'
