Al encountered LDS missionaries, initially jokingly asked for a steak dinner in exchange for listening to their message. She found strength and solace in reading the Book of Mormon daily, despite ongoing challenges and loneliness. Since then, she has experienced a transformative moment during baptism and confirmation, feeling a profound change and newfound purpose.
