Dr. James Hollis is a Jungian psychoanalyst, author, and public speaker who has written seventeen books and served as the executive director of the Jung Society of Washington. He stopped by the podcast for a short conversation on the search for meaning in a modern world, the way that mythology allows us to take some of the load off of our shoulders, and how the disappearance of the gods from Mount Olympus means that we are operate in a disorienting era of personal responsibility without any of the guideposts that we used to rely on.
