Nailed

10 Miles High. Please + appendage. Starfuckers, Inc. Complication. The New Flesh.

This is a big one, folks. How did we fit this many songs in less than two hours?!

THE FRAGILE (RIGHT) BEGINS!

1. The Way Out Is Through 2. Into The Void 3. Where Is Everybody? 4. The Mark Has Been Made

This one's got some all-time bangers.

For real. We really did it. We talked to one of The Nine Inch Nails. What the hell else can I say?

Special thanks to our nintern Christopher G. Brown, and thank you to the infinitely generous CHARLIE CLOUSER who chatted it up with us about: synth inspirations, Leon Theremin, the Cleveland reunion and closure w/ NIN, Dr. Dre, 'Rotation' (almost), Helmet, scoring and the SAW movies, Spitfire Audio, and Charlie's sound collection Hammers!

Disc 2, Side A. We end the "Left" half of The Fragile with Pilgrimage; No, You Don't; La Mer; and The Great Below.

Plus, a spirited discussion of New Orleans high school mascots!

Disc 1, Side B: We're In This Together, The Fragile, Just Like You Imagined, Even Deeper.

Some of Blake and Jessica's absolute faves are on this one. Plus, stick around til the end for Oskar's musical debut.

Disc 1, Side A: Somewhat Damaged. The Day The World Went Away. The Frail. The Wretched.

This is a special emergency episode! Blake and Jess FINALLY saw Nine Inch Nails live (twice) and got on mic to give their thoughts! It was amazing and we met so many cool people and our heads are still spinning.

Plus you won't wanna miss Blake's game: SETLIST SHOWDOWN!

NEXT WEEK we are back to The Fragile, I promise!

We've been traveling (seeing NIN at Red Rocks) and couldn't record something new just yet, so we're dropping this surprise unlocked bonus ep from behind the paywall! Before heading to Denver, we discussed ours and listeners' DREAM SETLISTS. Limited only by our imaginations, these got wacky.

Tune in next time for our RED ROCKS REACTIONS plus a comparison between these dream sets and what was really played!

This is a big one! Before finally diving into 'la mer' that is The Fragile, we dip our toes in some Nine Inch News. A few new discoveries are made!

Jess and Blake discuss myriad topics surrounding the sprawling album that is The Fragile. The musical landscape of the wild year 1999 is dissected. Interviews with Trent and others are played. Jess makes Blake guess the top ten Billboard albums on The Fragile's debut week! (he does really well)

Both teaser videos we referenced are here.

"The Fragility Waltz" interstitial and outro music interpolated by Blake from Nine Inch Nails.

Jess and Blake talk all about Trent Reznor's New Orleans recording spot, Nothing Studios.
