Nakia’s Gems: Be Patient With Yourself

Nakia Shandall is a Certified School Counselor in Georgia and Florida, a Mentor and a Certified Life Coach. She, a native of Columbus Georgia, is a young and successful Entrepreneur, Counselor, and Mentor. She received her Bachelor’s in Human Services and Master’s in Counseling from Troy University. She is clinically trained and has a strong foundation in Cognitive Behavior Therapy. She has over 10 years in the field and she learned early in her career the importance of setting goals and achieving them in order to be successful. She started out as a teen parent and learned that her decisions would affect the lives of my children. She was determined to be a role model for her children and be the exception to life’s statistics. She has always had a supportive network and now she would like to offer that same supportive network to others in need of a cheerleader.

Nakia is a serial entrepreneur and enjoys supporting other entrepreneurs. She started 2 Sisters & A Brother, a mentoring program, that provides life skill training to juveniles and young adults. 2 Sisters & A Brother has provided life skills to hundred's of program participants over the past three years. Nakia’s passion to continue to help others has continued over the years and lead to the growth of Nakia Shandall Consulting. She provides counseling and coaching to women worldwide. She enjoys speaking and you can hear her anytime on her podcast titled “The Be You Society." She is also a mental health advocate, She is very passionate about inspiring others to reach their highest potential and live out their dreams. She knows firsthand if given a chance, encouragement and coupled with resources that any individual can rise above their circumstances.
