There are good aspects to social media. It can connect you with friends from your high school days, it keeps you connected to loved ones and family and it can even connect you to a celerity or a sports super star. But with every positive there are of course negatives. This is no surprise of course, but it's attached itself to the Nathan MacKinnon slash to a referee in the 3rd period of the Avs / Bruins game.

MacKinnon should not have done what he did. He wasn't trying to make contact with a ref, but he did. And in our opinion he probably should at the most get a fine. It was an accident and it should still be punished monetarily. Ask the people of social media though, and you would think MacKinnon something nothing short of murder on ice that the FBI should be involved in.
