In 1939, Adolf Hitler authorized the elimination of German citizens who were considered to be weak and led, and I quote, "a life unworthy of being lived." Doctors and their staff were urged to participate in these willful killings without any risk of future prosections. The secret progam was codenamed Aktion T4.
