You have probably heard of EAT (exercise activity thermogenesis) a.k.a the amount of energy used for exercise. But, have you heard of NEAT? NEAT stands for non-exercise activity thermogenesis and it accounts for the energy that is needed for all of your daily movement outside of intentional exercise.
When you think of weight loss you probably only think about exercise - but NEAT is where the magic happens.  NEAT accounts for up to 20-30% of your energy expenditure which is much higher than exercise.
In this episode we compare NEAT and EAT, and how you should be dividing your time between the two.
