The book of James says, “You have faith and I have works; show me your faith without the works, and I will show you my faith by my works.” In other words, we prove to the world we are Christians by our personal ministry, and, by the way, we are all ministers, not just the paid staff of our churches. As Dr. Jackson’s pastor says, “Ministry is messy.” How so? Dr. Jackson talks about ministry being work, warfare, and wounding, but also wonderful.
