We turn up the lights cos we just wanna dance to our HURTS – “Some Kind Of Heaven Megamix” created by Costa Lakoumentas for Neon Nights.

Strap in for melodramatic synth-pop, adorned with sharp references to the late ’80s as well as current urban life.

This is not ‘cool’ music by the definition of current trends. It’s swooning drama of the highest calibre, the kind of dark-pop that Depeche Mode & Pet Shop Boys have found fame with.

Fall in love with a band producing non stop glimmering pop.

Neon Nights presents the glorious collision of two of global entities –  HURTS & Kylie Minogue.

When asked how the collaboration came about, Theo Hutchcraft explained: “A few weeks ago we finished our album, but it did not feel complete. We have written an album, mainly about women, which felt lost without the salvation of a woman.”

He added: “We wrote a song about infidelity called ‘Devotion’. Since we have enjoyed an illicit life-long love affair with Kylie Minogue, we mustered up every ounce of courage we had and asked her if she would like to sing the song with us. She said yes. The delicate yet powerful way she expresses the fragility of female emotion has added a magical missing ingredient to an album about love, loss and happiness. If you don’t ask, you don’t get… I guess.”

Such is their love for the Australian pint sized dynamo, Hurts went on to record a performance of Kylie’s 1994 smash hit, “Confide in Me”, for newspaper The Sun’s website, and has since been a regular inclusion on their gig setlists. Kylie later returned the compliment by recording a performance of Hurts’ “Wonderful Life”, in Radio 1’s Live Lounge.

Embrace the sonic melodrama with our “HURTS – Better Than Love Megamix”  created by Costa Lakoumentas for Neon Nights.

From cult hit to now earning their bona fide cool status – what unquestionably makes Hurts the coolest band of the moment is that they won’t change themselves for anyone …. & we LOVE that!

We present a slice of the Hurts’ back catalogue & despite being remixed for the international club circuit, these tracks are still a quintessential example of the perfect pop songs, splashed with with a whole lot of New Romantic melancholy.

Singer Theo Hutchcraft’s voice is totally dramatic but elegant, and carries each melody with a sense of purpose.

So right there on the dancefloor, come meet a band that is dedicated to their art.
