Nerds in Christ

In this episode of the Nerds in Christ Podcast, we’re talking about Final Fantasy. There's a lot more to it than just giant swords, turn-based combat, and chocobos. By understanding what is a fantasy, we can better discern what is the truth. The franchise has been one of the best at promoting equality, and Jesus did the exact same thing. Between religion and government, there is always a bad guy needing to be reckoned with, and if we are not careful, pride and greed come for us all. Have we subdued the earth a little too far? Sometimes, innovation to make our lives easier makes them worse. The greatest stories ever told are the ones we live out together. We hope you enjoy it! In this episode of the Nerds in Christ Podcast, we’re talking about The Witcher; the worst monsters are the ones we create. We’ll learn how to open our eyes to the spiritual warfare happening all around us. Much like the trials and training the witchers go through, we will also go through trials, and they can make us stronger. Our mission may not be slaying monsters, but we need to go about our mission with the same mindset. We only need one sword that is sharper than any other, among other tools of the trade, in our fight for the kingdom. There are times when we need a safe place to rest and recover. Finally, we will discuss the importance of being in the flock and being led by the shepherd. We hope you enjoy it! In this episode of the Nerds in Christ Podcast, we’re talking about The Avatar, not the blue ones, the Last Airbender. With the help of our first-time guest, Seth Sipe, we will learn to control our feelings and emotions and not be tossed to and fro like water. In our weakness, we will show His strength and learn to be meek like the earth. No longer will we let passion rule over us like a raging fire. We will always seek to bring honor and glory to the King. Though we might be the last of our kind, we will always seek to further the kingdom of heaven. Through it all, we will learn who the true master of all the elements is.

In this episode of the Nerds in Christ Podcast, we take the Hogwarts Express from platform 9 ¾ to the wizarding world of Harry Potter. This franchise isn't for everyone, but like everything, the series has many hidden Biblical themes. Harry goes through many adventures on the grounds of the castle, and we meet many characters it's hard not to relate to. Against the forces of evil, we will learn that the most powerful thing in the universe is self-sacrificial love. We can learn so much to level up our faith, so let's hop on board and prepare for an exciting time.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away, God created the heavens and the Earth. In this episode, we talk about Star Wars. We will learn how to be disciples, like the relationship between Jedi and their Padawan. And we will learn from their failures not to fall to the dark side like so many do. You may know that Mandalorian’s say this is the way, but we know The Way. There is a force that surrounds us and is inside us, and it’s called the Holy Spirit and has the power to heal the sick and raise the dead if we only have the faith to use it—all this and much more. We hope you enjoy!

Faster than a speeding bullet, more powerful than a locomotive, able to leap tall buildings in a single bound. In this episode, we fly over our favorite superheroes and what makes them super. Whether it was a spider bite, gamma radiation, or a boat loaf of money, once you get the power or the suit, there is no going back. We can learn a lot from these heroes who answered the call to fight evil.

In this episode of the Nerds in Christ Podcast, we plug into the world of video games and find ways to level up alongside our favorite characters. There are a lot of different games to choose from, and no matter your personal preference, we all long to unplug from the real world and escape within our chosen fantasy. Along the way, we’ll receive a boost in XP and upgrades as the enemies get harder. We’ll have to stay focused on the main goal and not stray too far from it. There are always plenty of bad guys to fight and tough bosses to overcome. In the end, we all need to remember that this is not a game, and we need to stop being NPCs and get into the fight. We hope you enjoy!

In this episode, we journey deep into Dungeons & Dragons. Can it teach us to be okay with how the dice fall and serve a higher purpose, not our own agenda? We will discuss the three pillars of D&D Social Interaction, Exploration, and Combat. We will also follow a side quest or two along the way. We hope you enjoy it.

Can we hope to carry The One Ring to destruction, or will it destroy us? In this episode, we will discuss The Lord of The Rings. There are many Christlike figures in this franchise, and we discuss a few of them. We all know Sam is the real hero of the story. We all need a Sam in our life, and we should all aspire to be like Samwise Gamgee. I hope you’re as excited as I am!
