So much to talk about this week that we ran a little long again. We do a quick review of some of our favorite parts of Ant-man and The Wasp (SPOILERS!). We discuss Disney's decision to part ways with Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn. We review a bunch of trailers that came out of SDCC this week. Russ touches on some of the recent comic news from SDCC. We finish things up with our latest Super Powered Smackdown, where we step away from the supers and pick our favorite video game teams.

This week we have another special guest, Colin. We get into some fantastic nerdy discussions on several topics. We talk about Star Wars (of course), movies, video games, wrestling, and that's just in the random digressions. We also talk about the new Robin Williams biography on HBO. We talk about the slew of trailers being released. We also set up our next schoolyard pick-em. To any of our listeners who may be going to SDCC this weekend, have fun and we wish we were there. This week we discuss the passing of a couple of legends, Steve Ditko and Harlan Ellison. We give some first impressions of the new Marvel movie, Ant-man and the Wasp. We take a side trip into the world of Critical Role, which if you are not familiar, is a show (Twitch/YouTube) where a bunch of "nerdy ass voice actors sit around and play D&D." We talk about the Solo: A Star Wars story movie and include some spoilers (fair warning). We also briefly discuss the now green lit Joker origin movie.

We went a little long on this episode. Part of the reason for that was the we have our first guest in quite a while on this episode. We talk about how the NY Times dropped a spoiler for the Gotham Wedding. We discuss Luke Cage season two (no spoilers) and the MCU TV shows. We discuss whether or not a lightsaber could cut through Captain America's shield. Then we finish the show off with our latest super powered smackdown, the sidekicks.

We hope everyone is enjoying the start to their summer. This week we talk about upcoming comic book nuptuals. Chris gives his first impressions of Solo: A Star Wars Story. We unfortunately needed to touch on more of the crazy events going on in US politics. We finish the show out by talking about some of our favorite teen comedies.

This week has us back in the basement together after Chris' trip to Ireland. He talks about the trip, and some of the wonderful drinks he had along the way. Russ talks about the Motor City Comic Con and his experiences there. There are some first impressions of Deadpool 2. A discussion is had about ABC's decision to cancel Rosanne after saying it was renewed. At the end we get into a debate about who created the best universe.

We've waited long enough. This week we finally talk exclusively about Avengers Infinity War. There are many spoilers as we spend the entire show talking about what we liked, and even a little about things we didn't. Did we mention there are spoilers on this episode?
