This week we have a big announcement regarding our 100th episode. We also talk about Buffy the Vampire Slayer and what is happening with the comic book. We take a quick look at the newly announced board game from White Wolf, Vampire: The Masquarade - Heritage. We discuss Amazon and their video game pre-order policy. We finish things off with some news about comics and casting for one of the upcoming DC Universe shows.

She also dives into the deep end of the nerd pool with us as we get into the latest nerd news, from Sir Patrick Stewart's announcement to the recently announced changes to the changes at MoviePass.

This week we record on location at B Nektar in Ferndale, MI. B Nektar hit their 10th anniversary this week and wanted to throw a huge party to celebrate. So they contacted a bunch of their friends from around the US and the world and put on a great festival. Lots of fantastic drinks were had. We play musical chairs in the guest seat as we talk with some new friends, as well as some people we've known for quite a while and some who have been on the show before.

This week we get into a subject we realized has been lacking on our show, technology. We talk about some of the new cell phones and phablets coming out soon. We discuss the updates to the Chris Hardwick and James Gunn stories. We also talk about the trailers for upcoming movies and TV shows that have come out in the last week. As usual there is also the usual side tracks, shenanigans, and booze.

So much to talk about this week that we ran a little long again. We do a quick review of some of our favorite parts of Ant-man and The Wasp (SPOILERS!). We discuss Disney's decision to part ways with Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn. We review a bunch of trailers that came out of SDCC this week. Russ touches on some of the recent comic news from SDCC. We finish things up with our latest Super Powered Smackdown, where we step away from the supers and pick our favorite video game teams.

This week we have another special guest, Colin. We get into some fantastic nerdy discussions on several topics. We talk about Star Wars (of course), movies, video games, wrestling, and that's just in the random digressions. We also talk about the new Robin Williams biography on HBO. We talk about the slew of trailers being released. We also set up our next schoolyard pick-em. To any of our listeners who may be going to SDCC this weekend, have fun and we wish we were there. This week we discuss the passing of a couple of legends, Steve Ditko and Harlan Ellison. We give some first impressions of the new Marvel movie, Ant-man and the Wasp. We take a side trip into the world of Critical Role, which if you are not familiar, is a show (Twitch/YouTube) where a bunch of "nerdy ass voice actors sit around and play D&D." We talk about the Solo: A Star Wars story movie and include some spoilers (fair warning). We also briefly discuss the now green lit Joker origin movie.

We went a little long on this episode. Part of the reason for that was the we have our first guest in quite a while on this episode. We talk about how the NY Times dropped a spoiler for the Gotham Wedding. We discuss Luke Cage season two (no spoilers) and the MCU TV shows. We discuss whether or not a lightsaber could cut through Captain America's shield. Then we finish the show off with our latest super powered smackdown, the sidekicks.
