For our S movie this evening we watched ... Self/Less.

An early Ryan Reynolds movie from 2015. This is a thriller? kind of sci- fi about uploading your consciousness into a different person. We thought it was pretty good but a little predictable.

Interesting note: I slag off soup makers at the beginning of this episode but have since bought one and its a game changer, I retract my previous sentiments about them - Abbie

Since there were no films beginning with Q we watched an R film... Rebecca!

This is a 2020 thriller and we quite enjoyed it!

Our P P P film was the 2008 movie Prom Night! 

We didn't love this movie and if it didn't have Idris Elba in it, we wouldn't have watched it at all. 

It was okay I guess it had some thrills but pretty much everything you've seen before.

In this episode please enjoy our TERRIBLE cockney accents as we briefly touch on our original idea of the UK's own king Danny Dyer as James Bond. This was far too long so if that sounds of interest to you, please subscribe to hear our bonus content!

For our O movie we watched the very topical movie ... Outbreak! Even though it was filmed in 1995, we recorded this in 2020 during the height of the coronavirus outbreak. So there is a lot corona/pandemic talk. We have only just got round to editing so not so relevant now

For our N movie we watched the 2007 movie... Next!

It was a ... peculiar movie to say the least. As many Nic Cage movies are. He obviously plays the main character Frank Cadillac. A magician that can see into the future. 2 whole minutes of the future. 

You can hear our first ever viewing right here! Listen to our bewilderment and a lot of dog ASMR as resident dog Gouda decides she wants to be real naughty at the beginning of this recording and we can't edit it out without ruining your experience. So it's like you have your own beagle right there with you!

18+ Review due to strong language and sexual references

We went were enjoying this movie until right at the end. We were so mad at the credits! We rated it 7/10 UNTIL the credits then immediate rage. Abbie rated it -2 and Nicola rated it 2 ... making our rating a 0/10

For our M movie we watched the 1996 classic family movie Michael.

Neither of us had seen this movie before, it was so good. It gave us the warm and fuzzies that only the 80s/90s movies can provide. It gave nostalgia even though we had never seen it. 

John Travolta's best role to date for sure!

Although it is a family film, this podcast is definitely 16+ due to our language and references.

We gave this movie 12/10 because it ticked all our boxes and would recommend to watch over and over. Nice and easy to watch no matter how you are feeling.

For our L film we watched a Nic Cage film: Leave Behind.

WARNING: This was a proper Christian movie, if you are religious please don't take this movie or our review too seriously. Neither of us are particularly religious so if you think this might offend you maybe stay clear of this one. 

This is a 15 movie but the podcast is definitely 16+ due to our language and references and is NSFW

I talk about Chad Michael Murray being in Gilmore Girls ... which is correct BUT I am convinced he plays Logan all the way through this podcast. That is wrong, Logan is played by a different guy   - Abbie

We have a bit of a deep dive into religion and science etc at the end of this one so stay tuned after the movie to listen to how we think the world works

For our K movie we watched teenage rom-com The Kissing Booth 2 starring Joey King. 

We were not the target audience for this film but all things considered, we didn't hate it. Although this movie is a 12, we don't recommend listening to this unless you are over the age of 16 due to our language and sexual references. 

We thought we would go into this without watching the first movie which was... interesting. We decided you don't actually need to see the first one its all pretty self  explanatory... barring a few small details.

Overall we rated it a 5/10. It wasn't bad it just isn't for us.

So if you want some company while you watch a lighthearted teenage drama

For our J movie we didn't have much choice but we watched the flop Jupiter Ascending.

We didn't hate it, it had ... a lot of information to cram into a one movie. 

Although this is a 12 rated movie, this podcast is definitely 16+ due to the language and the adult references.

Eddie Redmayne is amazing in this playing space Voldemort.

We do actually review this movie at length at the end which is something we don't usually  do so look forward to that!

In the end we rated this a 7/10

For our I film we had lots of choice but the randomizer we used chose for us. The Invitation. This was a 15+ NSFW thriller, we didn't feel it at the start but as you will hear we definitely get sucked into the drama by the end. Even if we don't remember any of the characters names throughout the whole thing

We thought this was pretty predictable but still enjoyed it. One of those movies where you say what you would do in that situation even though you definitely wouldn't be brave enough or hopefully not be in that situation to begin with :')

We rated this movie  10/10
