70% of adults are confident they can spot misinformation online but only 20% do so accurately when tested (Ofcom, 2022). In this information age, vast quantities of data are at our fingertips, but conspiracy theories, fake news and ideologies abound and debate is often reduced to soundbites. Christians are called to be watchful, alert to deceit and firmly established in the truth. Yet we sometimes seem to be blown around by every idea and too easily duped. This seminar will search for wisdom to discern what is true, to test stories we hear and live faithfully by the true story of the gospel.
