1. God’s goodness brings AWARENESS of my SIN.   

We are all infected and impure with sin. When we display our righteous deeds, they are nothing but filthy rags. Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall, and our sins sweep us away like the wind.   Isaiah 64v6 (NLT)  

And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth.  John 14v16-17 (NLT)  

For I will gather you up from all the nations and bring you home again to your land. Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean. Your filth will be washed away…And I will give you a new heart, and I will put a new spirit in you. I will take out your stony, stubborn heart and give you a tender, responsive heart. If I make you light-bearers, you don't think I'm going to hide you under a bucket, do you? I'm putting you on a light stand. Now that I've put you there on a hilltop, on a light stand—shine! God’s Kindness…    

The Lord is righteous in everything he does;  he is filled with kindness.  Psalms 145v17  

He is so rich in kindness and grace that he purchased our freedom with the blood of His Son and forgave our sins.  Ephesians 1v7  

Yet God, with undeserved kindness, declares that we are righteous.  He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. Romans 3v24  

In his kindness God called you to share in His eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus.  So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and He will place you on a firm foundation. 1Peter 5v10   

1.  God’s KINDNESS draws me CLOSE.  Do the riches of his extraordinary kindness make you take him for granted and despise him? 

Haven’t you experienced how kind and understanding he has been to you? Don’t mistake his tolerance for acceptance. Do you realize that all the wealth of his extravagant kindness is meant to melt your heart and lead you into repentance?  Romans 2v4  

For he has conquered us with his great love and his kindness has melted our hearts. His faithfulness lasts forever and he will never fail you. So go ahead, let it all out! Praise the Lord.  Psalm 117v2   

2.  God’s kindness is expressed through my HUMILITY.  

Get rid of all bitterness, rage, anger, harsh words, and slander, as well as all types of evil behavior. Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you.  Ephesians 4v31-32 (NLT)

1.  My PATIENCE grows with my willingness to YIELD.  

So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves. The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.  Galatians 5v16-17 (NLT)  

2.  My patience should model the PATIENCE of JESUS.    

• Jesus modeled patience with PEOPLE.  

Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience.  Colossians 3v12 (NIV)   

• Jesus modeled patience with God’s TIMING.    

• Jesus modeled patience during SUFFERING.  

Of course, you get no credit for being patient if you are beaten for doing wrong. But if you suffer for doing good and endure it patiently, God is pleased with you. For God called you to do good, even if it means suffering, just as Christ suffered for you. He is your example, and you must follow in his steps. He never sinned, nor ever deceived anyone. He did not retaliate when he was insulted, nor threaten revenge when he suffered. He left his case in the hands of God, who always judges fairly.  1 Peter 2v20-23 (NLT)

3.  I choose to say “YES” to God’s WORK in me.  

Those who belong to Christ Jesus have nailed the passions and desires of their sinful nature to his cross and crucified them there. If we are living now by the Holy Spirit, let us follow the Holy Spirit’s leading in every part of our lives. Let us not become conceited, or irritate one another, or be jealous of one another.  Galatians 5v24-26 (NLT)  

"Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you'll recover your life. I'll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. 1.  Miracles happen… when I’m BOLD enough to BELIEVE.

Jesus told them, “Go back to John and tell him what you have heard and seen— the blind see, the lame walk, those with leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor.”  Matthew 11v4-5 (NLT)

Dear brothers and sisters, what’s the use of saying you have faith if you don’t prove it by your actions? That kind of faith can’t save anyone. Miraculous (def):  an extraordinary event of  divine intervention in human affairs.     

1.  The miracle of Easter takes POWER away from my PAST.  

And may you have the power to understand…, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love really is.  May you experience the love of Christ, though it is so great you will never fully understand it. Then you will be filled with the fullness of life and power that comes from God.  Ephesians 3v18-19 (NLT)   

2.  The miracle of Easter offers me an EVERLASTING LOVE.  

For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. God did not send his Son into the world to condemn it, but to save it.   John 3v16-17 (NLT)  

3.  The miracle of Easter invites me to LIVE in HOPE.  

The women who went to the tomb were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, Mary the mother of James, and several others. They told the apostles what had happened, but the story sounded like nonsense, so they didn’t believe it. However, Peter ran to the tomb to look. Stooping, he peered in and saw the empty linen wrappings; then he went home again, wondering what had happened.  Luke 24v10-12 (NLT)  

When you were stuck in your old sin-dead life, you were incapable of responding to God. God brought you alive—right along with Christ! Think of it! All sins forgiven, the slate wiped clean, that old arrest warrant canceled and nailed to Christ’s Cross.  Colossians 2v13-14 (MESSAGE)
