spirit = pneuma - breath / power

The enemy said, ‘I will pursue, I will overtake, I will divide the spoil; my desire shall be satisfied on them. I will draw my sword, my hand shall destroy them.’ ”

God’s Word is Alive.
Hebrews 4:12 For the word of God is living and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart.
In order for the Bible to come alive in your life: You have to have faith in it. In order to have faith, you need revelation from it. In order to have a revelation from it, you need to meditate on it.
FAITH
Hebrews 4:2 For we also have had the gospel preached to us, just as they did; but the message they heard was of no value to them, because those who heard did not combine it with faith.
REVELATION
Revelation activates faith
logos - written word of God or general word of God.
Rhema - personal revelation from God.
Luke 1:34 “How will this be,” Mary asked the angel, “since I am a virgin?”
Luke 1:35 “The Holy Spirit will come on you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you. So the holy one to be born will be called the Son of God.
Luke 1:37 For no word from God will ever fail.”
No personal revelation from God’s Word will ever fail.
Luke 1:38 “I am the Lord’s servant,” Mary answered. “May your word to me be fulfilled.”
MEDITATION
Meditation activates your revelation
Meditate - think deeply about it.
Joshua 1:7-8 Do not let this Book of the Law depart from your mouth; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.

#1 You have to accept the authority of God’s Word

#2 You have to work God’s Word into your life
