New To Weeaboo

Welcome to episode 13! And in this one, Nemesis and Alca7raz tackle one of the biggest names in anime and manga: Sailor Moon! Well, the first season, anyway. A fun, if a bit formulaic, ride with the 5 Sailor Guardians. There's a lot to discuss, so they don't manage to hit every topic, but they'll have at least 4 more opportunities in the future... Check it out on Hulu.

Welcome to episode 12, and the year 2020! Nemesis and Alca7raz have decided to take a look at Izetta: The Last Witch this time. Alternate universe WW2? A witch fighting nazis? Sounds like a fun time! Check it out on Crunchyroll.

Time for episode 10! Once again, we're sampling a handful of anime from the new season (this one being the fall 2019 season). Same as before, the first 3 episodes of 4 randomly picked anime. And this time around, it's Welcome To Demon School! Iruma-Kun, Ascendance of a Bookworm, Ahiru no Sora, and Didn't I Say To Make My Abilities Average In The Next Life?!. Yes, two of them are isekai. RNG sucks sometimes.

Welcome to episode 9! In this one, we talk about High School of the Dead. It's... not great. And there are a lot of reasons for that, not just the most obvious one. Sometimes it feels like it's going out of its way to be this bad. So listen to us dunk on it! It's on Hulu if you really want to watch it (Seriously don't though).

Episode 8 is here! Love Live! is the topic this month. Well, the first anime, anyway. The one with µ's. And since it's a character-driven anime, we focus mostly on the characters. Good thing there are 9 of them to talk about. Also, prepare for a lot of mispronunciation. Sorry about that.

Check it out on Funimation!

Time for episode 7! This time, we talk about an anime that is incredibly well known, Neon Genesis Evangelion (and End of Evangelion). There's a lot to talk about here, and we had no hope of talking about everything in an hour. But we tried! God we forgot how tough it can get to watch this...

Check it out on Netflix. And don't forget the movie!

Episode 6 is here! This month, it's Kill la Kill! Remember, that anime from a few years ago? That's randomly getting a game soon? The ridiculous over-the-top one? The one that has absurd amounts of creepy fanservice? Yeah, that one. We talk about that and why it's one of our problematic faves. Check it out on Crunchyroll.

Welcome to episode 5! This month, we talk about the Raildex franchise, aka A Certain Magical Index and A Certain Scientific Railgun. Two anime series that are fairly intertwined. And unfortunately, one of them suffers from some... less than great execution. The other one is HYPE.

Episode 4 has arrived! Nemesis and Alca7raz get a bit of talk about Lily Hoshikawa and British Parliament, which is just weird, funny, and sad. But then it's the main topics: four animes from the Spring 2019 season! Cinderella Nine starts things off with some baseball. Midnight occult civil servants then brings some supernatural creatures. AMAZING STRANGER has a creepy otaku and a living figure. And finally, Fruits Basket is a zodiac-based rom-com remake.

Time for episode the third! After a brief bit about April Fool's stuff, Nemesis and Alca7raz get into a recently aired anime: The Promised Neverland! One which they'd HIGHLY recommend watching with as little info as possible. So uh, go watch it and then come back. Seriously, it's much better that way. Watch it on Crunchyroll (well, season 1 anyway).
