Today, April 3rd, marks the birthday of one of the 1980s biggest film stars - Eddie Murphy.

Making his cinematic debut in 1982 following a meteoric rise to fame on Saturday Night Live, Murphy made a career as one of Hollywood's funny men who turned his hand to the odd dramatic role.
