Statt dem Sommerloch überschlagen sich im Juli die Ereignisse: Oracle apelliert an Red Hat, SUSE forkt RHEL und AlmaLinux verändert seine Prioritäten. Das LXD-Projekt wandert vollständig zu Canonical und für Ubuntu 23.10 sind Änderungen im Software-Store zu erwarten. Proxmox veröffentlicht Backup Server 3.0 und Mail Gateway 8.0, während Fedora die Einführung von Opt-Out-Telemetrie diskutiert. Die EU billigt die Übernahme von VMware und Homelab-Enthusiast:innen dürften traurig über die Einstellung von Intels NUC-Serie sein. openSUSE gibt Einblicke in die zukünftige Roadmap und Thunderbird stellt eine neue Oberfläche vor. Zwei Jubiläen wollen gefeiert werden.
