Well it's the start of Dragcemeber and I wanted to something as a little repeat or tradition and have my oldest daughter Tessa Back on the show....

This episode was supposed to be about what drag characters we would be, or what would our drag acts be if we were performers. Ha! no I wasn't ready for Tessa to not have a clue what she wanted to do or how far we would get off track.  But, it was a really good time and I always like having Tess on to host with me.

This week I am talking about how hard you have to work to promote yourself when you have a passion project like I don't know a PODCAST!!  I tried to make myself more popular on social media by becoming an influencer and I was so boring that I even got tired of me!  But, find out if all these postings helped or hindered my podcast.  Also I get into what you need the most in self promotion and what you have to do when you don't have that thing.

Next week will be another interview this time with my husband Ben about what he has gone through trying to promote himself as a musician and artist.  It's his first time on the show and we are very excited.  (Well, at least I am he keeps forgetting that he agreed to be on the show.)

I know it's been forever but I have been so very busy guys I am so sorry.  Here is a great way for us to catch up and for me to let you know what's coming next with Nicki Needs an Adult.  Also I openly talk about my love of all things spooky and my hate of all things pumpkin (unless it's pie).  

I just wanted to give you guys a little taste of what is going on this month and what to expect in the next few episodes.  I also wanted to let you know where I am in the processes of the book that I am planning on starting this winter.  It's going to be a very crazy 2020 for all of us I think.  I just don't want any of you thinking that I am trying to skip out on doing episodes.  I am just a busy lady and I don't want to give you guys less than what you would except from this show!

This week I am going back to an episode from a few months ago called Nicki Just Wants to be a Good Ally. I am not really fixing, but adding to the conversation of misogyny in Queer Culture.  When I did that first episode I didn't understand what a big issue it is to be femme or embracing your female nature is to queer persons and why for years and even to some point now feminine attributes have been expected to be hidden from others. But, nothing I say can truly be even close to what it's like to have to live this way, so I asked for some help!
