The President of the United States Donald Trump took to social media to criticize Pope Leo XIV for his disapproval of the war in Iran and the president’s directives on that. Trump called the Pope “weak on crime and terrible for foreign policy” saying “Leo should get his act together as Pope, use Common Sense, stop catering to the Radical Left, and focus on being a Great Pope, not a Politician” after the Pope expressed to reporters that he hoped Trump would seek an “off ramp” in Iran and that Trump’s threat to eradicate a “whole civilization” was “truly unacceptable”.
