Deliberations in the Lindsay Clancy case took a dramatic turn on Tuesday when the jury announced they were at a standstill. After four days of deliberations, the twelve jurors sent a note to the judge saying they could not reach a unanimous decision. The courtroom erupted in gasps when Judge William Sullivan declined to declare a mistrial and told them they had to go back and keep trying. The jury was dismissed without a verdict. Attorney Philip A. Tracy Jr. joined Dan to discuss!

A robot in China recently ran the 100-meter dash in 8.86 seconds, breaking Usain Bolt’s 9.58-second world record. The race was part of the World Humanoid Robot Games in Beijing, where robots compete in everything from running and soccer to household and industrial tasks. To learn more about the future of humanoid robots in our society, Dan talked with Dr. Kenechukwu Mbanisi, Assistant Professor of Robotics Engineering at Olin College of Engineering.

Massachusetts Ballot Question 1, which will appear on the November 2026 ballot, would expand the state’s Public Records Law and make it easier for the public to access records from the governor’s office and Legislature. It would also establish stronger rules for obtaining those records and increase transparency in state government. State Auditor Diana DiZoglio is one of the forces behind the question, and she joined Dan to discuss what a “Yes” vote would mean.

The jury entered their second day of deliberations today in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial, hitting the judge with their first major request: the bags of empty prescription pill bottles and the knife Clancy used to harm herself. Those two items sit right at the center of the debate over whether she was suffering from severe postpartum psychosis or if her actions were premeditated. Bradley shared the latest and opened the lines for reaction.
