State Sen. Nick Collins says his name was left off some ballots at a South Boston polling station, where he is facing a primary challenge from Latoya Gayle, who has Mayor Michelle Wu’s backing. Collins called for an investigation, while city officials said voters were immediately provided with the proper ballots once the error was identified. The ballot issue comes amid Collins’ ongoing political disagreements with Wu, further heating up the South Boston primary. Collins joined Dan.

Closing arguments in the Lindsay Clancy murder trial are scheduled to begin soon as the case nears its conclusion. Following a denied defense motion for a mistrial, the prosecution called final expert rebuttal witnesses to argue that Clancy remains criminally responsible for the 2023 strangulation deaths of her three children. Starting in January, Massachusetts drivers and other out-of-staters will pay more to use New Hampshire toll roads unless they have a New Hampshire E-ZPass. The higher rates are part of a 10-year transportation plan to bring in more money for road maintenance, and lawmakers overrode Gov. Kelly Ayotte’s veto to approve them. Smart Approaches to Marijuana wants you to vote “Yes” on Massachusetts Question 8, which would repeal the state’s recreational marijuana law while keeping medical marijuana legal. The group says legalization has created public health and safety problems and that the marijuana industry has too much influence. SAM wants voters to reconsider recreational legalization and move toward what it sees as a more health-focused approach.
