今日、電車でロンドンの公園に行きました。それから、友達に会いました。友達と美術館に行きました。

アイ・ウェイウェイという現代アーティストのエキシビションを見に行きました。アイ・ウェイウェイの作品は芸術的で、誰が見ても楽しめる、おもしろさや美しさがあります。パンフレットを読むと、作品の意味や政治的なメッセージが書かれていました。

Today I went by train to a park in London. Then I met friends. I went to a museum with my friends.

There was Comic-Con in London today. There were many cosplayers on the train. I got off at a station called Holland Park and went to the park. The weather was fine, so there were many people having picnics on the grass. There is a Japanese garden in the park, called Kyoto Garden. There is a pond and stone lanterns. There were many people taking photos.

There is an art museum next to the park. It is called the Design Museum. It is a new and interesting building. I met a friend at the entrance to the museum and we saw the exhibition.

土曜日に友達と町のお祭りに行きました。小さいお祭りです。いろいろな店がありました。ワークショップもありました。

このお祭りは町のファンドレイジングのイベントで、毎年五月にやっています。例えば、私の友達は町で畑を借りています。畑の人たちはジャムやケーキを売っていました。友達は畑の野菜でキムチを作りました。お祭りの売上で、畑のメンテナンスをしたり、道具を買ったりすることができます。

お祭りで一番有名なのは虫博士のテントです。子どもたちが森で虫をつかまえます。その虫を博士に見せます。博士は何でも知っています。どんな虫でも名前を教えてくれます。

お祭りは子どもからお年寄りまで、いろいろな人が集まってにぎやかでした。若い学生やアーティストも参加していました。大きな機械でいすを作っている人がいて、おもしろかったです。

自然や手仕事の楽しさを大切にする、いいイベントでした。天気もよく、時間がゆっくりと流れていました。また行きたいです。

On Saturday, I went to a town festival with a friend. It was a small festival. There were many shops. There were also workshops.

This festival is a fundraising event in the town and is held every year in May. For example, my friend rents a veg plot in the town.　The people from the allotment were selling jams and cakes. My friend made kimchi from the vegetables in her allotment. With the sales from the festival, they can maintain their allotment and buy equipment.

The most famous thing at the festival is the Bug Man's tent. Children catch insects in the forest. They show the insect to the Bug Man. The Bug Doctor knows everything. He can tell you the name of any insect.

公園に行きました。公園に大きい池があります。池に魚がいます。鳥もたくさんいます。今日、鳥の子どもを見ました。小さくて、ふわふわで、かわいかったです。鳥の子たちは　お母さんの後ろを歩いていました。

池のまん中に小さいしまがあって、そこは森みたいになっています。森の中から水鳥たちのにぎやかな声が聞こえます。水の上をカモのおやこが一れつにならんで泳いでいました。この公園はうちから車で15分ぐらいです。カフェはありません。まわりはおしゃれな町ではないし、本当に何もありませんが、のんびりしたいい公園です。きれいな花を見ることができます。とくに のはらの花が好きです。今は、きいろいバターカップの花や、白くて、せが高い、くさの花がさいています。

I went to the park. There is a big pond in the park. There are fish in the pond. There are also many birds. Today I saw a baby bird. They were small, fluffy and cute. They were walking behind their mother.

今日はいい天気でした。スーパーに行きました。くだものを買いました。ピムズを作りました。ピムズはイギリスの夏の飲み物です。ジュースじゃありません。お酒です。夜、うちに友達が来ました。友達とピムズを飲みました。

ピムズはリキュールです。よく、大きいピッチャーで作ります。ピッチャーに氷を入れます。ピムズとレモネードを入れます。そして、くだものも入れます。いちご、オレンジ、レモンなどです。きゅうりとミントも入れます。ピムズは甘くて、飲みやすいです。友達と乾杯しました。

もう５月の半ばですが、イギリスは今年ずっと寒くて、全然夏らしくありません。今日はめずらしく晴れたので、うれしくて、ピムズを飲みたくなりました。庭で飲めたらもっとよかったん　ですが、夜は寒かったので、家の中にしました。友達はお土産にロゼワインを持ってきてくれました。ロゼワインも夏っぽいですよね。

It was a sunny day. I went to the supermarket. I bought fruits. I made Pimm's. Pimm's is a British summer drink. It is not a juice. It's a drink.

My friend came to my house in the evening. I had Pimm's with my friend.

Pimm's is a liqueur. It is often made in a large jug. Put ice in the pitcher. Add Pimm's and lemonade. Then, put some fruit in it. Strawberries, oranges, lemons, etc. Also, add cucumber and mint.

Pimm's is sweet and easy to drink. I toasted with my friends.

月曜日の午後、アリジアさんとジェニーさんと一緒に本屋に行きました。大きい本屋です。ロンドンのTottenham Court Roadの近くにあります。

アリジアさんはポーランド人で、大学院の学生です。ジェニーさんはドイツ出身で、建築家です。二人は日本語を勉強していますから、本屋で日本語の本を見ました。それからカフェに行って、日本語で話しました。

今週はユーロビジョンがあります。ユーロビジョンはヨーロッパの歌番組です。とても人気があります。私は見たことがないので、アリジアさんとジェニーさんに教えてもらいました。

説明を聞いてわかったこと。ユーロビジョンは、ヨーロッパの国から一つずつ、国の代表のバンドやミュージシャンが出る。歌で戦う、歌合戦の番組。一回目の歌バトルは、審査員が点数をつける。二回目はテレビを見ている人が投票する。優勝するのはバラードが多い。他にもユーロビジョンのルールや伝統があったらぜひ、教えてください。東ヨーロッパの国は東ヨーロッパの国を応援すると聞いて、ちょっとおもしろそうだと思いました。

On Monday afternoon, I went to the bookshop with Alicja and Jenny. It is a large bookshop. It is near Tottenham Court Road, in London.

Alicja is Polish and a postgraduate student. Jenny is from Germany and is an architect. They are both studying Japanese, so we looked at Japanese books in the bookshop. Then we went to a café and talked in Japanese.

This week there is Eurovision. Eurovision is a European song show. It is very popular. I have never seen it, so Alicja and Jenny taught me about it.
