月曜日は休日でした。友達とハイキングに行きました。車で大きい池に行きました。そこで、昼ごはんを食べました。

私はおにぎりを持って行きました。友達に１つ、あげました。友達はスパゲッティを持って来ました。私も少しもらいました。

それから、池の周りを歩きました。１０キロぐらいです。森の　近くを歩いている時、にんにくの匂いがしました。白くて丸い、花の蕾が見えました。森に行者にんにくがたくさんありました！食べられる植物です。森に入って採りました。葉っぱは採ってもいいですが、根っこを掘ってはいけません。楽しかったです。

また少し歩いたら、今度はセロリみたいな植物がありました。野生のセロリは初めて見ましたが、匂いがセロリより強くて、日本の芹という野菜に似ています。私はワクワクしながら家に持って帰りました。でも、夜、友達からWhatsAppが来ました。セロリじゃなくて毒がある草かもと言われました。ネットで調べてくれたそうです。食べちゃだめな植物もありますね。危なかったです。

Monday was a national holiday. I went hiking with friends. We went to a large pond by car. We had lunch there.

I took onigiri (rice balls) with me. I gave one to my friend.　My friend brought spaghetti. I got some, too. Then we walked around the pond, it was about 10 kilometres. When we were walking near the forest, I could smell garlic. I saw white, round flower buds. There was a lot of wild garlic in the forest! They are edible plants. We went into the forest to pick them. You can pick the leaves, but you must not dig the roots. It was fun.

今日は朝１０時から仕事でした。カフェで日本語のレッスンをしました。レッスンの後で、花屋に行きました。

レッスンをしている時に、カフェの常連さんが私たちに「こんにちは」と言いました。その人は花束を持っていました。青いアイリスの花でした。５月の花です。

アイリスの季節は短いです。レッスンが終わってから、急いで花屋に行きました。花屋にはバラの花がたくさんありました。チューリップや、カーネーションもありました。赤やピンクの花の中でアイリスが見えませんでした。でも、真ん中にありました。よかったです。カフェの常連さんと同じ花束を買いました。

日本ではアイリスは「あやめ」や「かきつばた」と呼ばれています。江戸時代の画家、尾形光琳が金色の屏風に燕子花を描いた有名な作品があります。平安時代の物語がテーマになっています。華やかな京都の生活を捨てて江戸に向かって旅をしている男が、燕子花を見て短歌を作った場面だそうです。

I had to work today from 10 am. I had a Japanese lesson at a café. After the lesson, I went to a flower shop.

While we were having our lesson, a regular customer at the café said 'konnichiwa' to us. He had a bouquet of flowers. They were blue iris flowers, the flowers of May.

The iris season is short. After the lesson, I went to the flower shop in a hurry. There were many roses in the flower shop.　There were also tulips and carnations. I couldn't see the iris among the red and pink flowers. But it was in the middle. I was glad. I bought the same bouquet as the regular in the café.

今月はうちにいろいろな人が来ました。友達ではありません。私のうちは今、問題があります。家の修理をしています。イギリスの家は古いです。メンテナンスは大変です。

私は2019年から今の家に住んでいます。初めて家を買いました。イギリスの家はとても高いです。家を買うことは大きなゴールですが、ゴールの後は家のメンテナンスがあります。

去年の夏に庭のフェンスが壊れました。新しいフェンスを建てました。今年は、暖房が壊れて、新しいボイラーを買いました。最近、雨漏りの問題があったから、屋根の修理をしました。お金がかかります・・。でも、雨漏りが直って、よかったです。

家の修理をする時、私はMy Builderというサイトで職人さんを探します。サイトに登録して、頼みたい仕事を説明すると、うちの近くに住んでいる職人さんたちにメッセージが送られます。興味がある人から返事が来たら、その中からレビューが高くて、スケジュールが合う人に連絡して仕事をお願いします。

This month we have had a lot of visitors. They are not my friends. My house is having problems at the moment. We are repairing our house. British houses are old. Maintenance is hard.

I have lived in my current house since 2019. I bought my first house. Houses in the UK are very expensive. Buying a house is a big goal, but after the goal, there is house maintenance.

Last summer my garden fence broke. We built a new fence. This year, our heating broke and we bought a new boiler. We recently had a roof repair because we had problems with rain leaks. It costs a lot of money... But I'm glad the leak was fixed.

「すずめ」の話は宮崎県の静かな町から始まります。宮崎は日本の南、九州にあります。すずめは九州から船で四国に行きます。四国から車で本州の神戸に行きます。神戸から新幹線で東京に行って、東京から車で北に行きます。映画が終わった時、私はロンドンの映画館にいることを忘れてました。

「すずめ」はとてもいい映画でしたが、映画が終わってから、　あまりうまく感想が言えませんでした。日本で本当にあった地震や、災害で失くなってしまった町などが出てくるので、胸が苦しくなりました。一方で、おもしろくて声を出して笑ったシーンもありました。すずめと一緒に長い冒険をして、疲れました。最後に物語が最初のシーンに繋がるところが、よかったです。

I went to the cinema on Sunday. We watched 'Suzume' It is a Japanese film. It is an animation.

The director of 'Suzume' is Makoto Shinkai. Shinkai's film 'Your Name' is very famous. Spoiler alert from here.

The story of Suzume begins in a quiet town in Miyazaki Prefecture. Miyazaki is in Kyushu, in the south of Japan. Suzume goes from Kyushu to Shikoku by boat. From Shikoku, she goes by car to Kobe in Honshu. From Kobe, she goes to Tokyo by Shinkansen and from Tokyo she goes to the north by car. When the film finished, I forgot I was in a cinema in London.

春休みに旅行をしました。車でイギリスの田舎に行きました。Airbnbの家を予約しました。家は海の近くでした。

旅行の２日目に、海に行きました。駐車場に車を停めて、海岸に行きました。そこは砂浜じゃなくて、石のビーチでした。そして、引き潮でしたから、海の底の岩が見えました。海の後ろは崖でした。崖は、しましま　模様でした。崖の下に化石を探している人たちがいました。私もアンモナイトの化石を見つけました。

イギリスのサマセット地方は自然が豊かです。緑の山や、川があるので日本を思い出しました。日本なら　アウトドアの１日の最後には温泉に入りたいですが、　イギリスなのでAirbnbの家に帰って、お風呂に熱い　お湯を入れました。明るい時間にゆっくりお風呂に入るだけでも、旅行気分が高まって、楽しかったです。

I had a trip during the spring holidays. We went to the English countryside by car. We booked an Airbnb house. The house was near the sea.

On the second day of my trip, we went to the sea. We parked the car in the car park and went to the coast. It was not a sandy beach, but a stone beach. And because it was low tide, so we could see the rocks at the bottom of the sea. Behind the sea was a cliff. The cliffs were stripy. At the bottom of the cliff, there were people looking for fossils. I also found an ammonite fossil.
