Public policy enthusiast Meghnad is back to discuss Budget 2018 with the Hafta team. Abhinandan Sekhri, Manisha Pande, Anand Vardhan, Raman Kirpal along with Meghnad also talk about violence in Kasganj and how the media covered it. How many were ground reports and how many were opinion pieces? Abhinandan asks the panel about Rashtra Manch, launched by Yashwant Sinha, and Shatrughan Sinha joining the Manch. Is this a move to pressure the BJP from within? They discuss Swara Bhasker's piece on Padmaavat. Manisha tells why she could not read the piece after two-three paragraphs. Then they talk about the concept of One Nation One Election and the consequences of it. Vardhan thinks of it as “not a bad idea”. Raman raises questions about the concept. Abhinandan talks about a recent case of FIR against Army personnel and finds it unfortunate. Lastly, they discuss a tragedy which shook Delhi when an eight-month-old baby was raped. Also, a lot of emails from our beloved subscribers. Listen up, there is a song dedication in the end too.
