In our last episode before the season, Patti and Pottymouth spend some time with Max “Mako” Oliveras.
Oliveras has a 50-year history in baseball as a player, coach, and manager. He has worked with teams in Puerto Rico, Mexico, and MLB. He shares stories of the early days of Alex Cora, Dave Martinez, and Daniel Murphy.
Also this week: Patti & Pottymouth name their 1st String Boyfriend League players.

Youth and age in Major League Baseball: 24-yr-old Paul DeJong gets a record deal with the St. Louis Cardinals, but 29-yr-old Mike Moustakas heads back to the Royals for less than half the qualifying offer he turned down last November. Why can't players 30 and over get multi-year deals?
Could there be a feud brewing in Los Angeles? Seems the Dodgers are a little bitter over Ohtani's decision to join the Angels.
Also this week: Patti & Pottymouth pick their Boyfriend League pitchers. Patti takes the Nationals and the Indians, while Pottymouth locks in the Dodgers and the Astros.

Shohei Ohtani warms up with the Angels but the Dodgers get the hot tub flu, all in this week's episode!
Patti brings more science to the field in her ongoing study of everything that makes baseballs fly and learns that last year's balls were, indeed, different. Could that explain the record number of home runs? Listen to find out!
Boyfriends this week (the last week of boyfriends!) are Yonder Alonso and Francisco Lindor of the Cleveland Lindors, er, Indians, and Kiké Hernandez and Logan Forsythe of the Los Angeles Dodgers.

We're watching baseball again! Yay for Spring Training! Patti & Pottymouth get a little teary-eyed talking about MLB teams' reactions to the horror at Stoneman Douglas High School but bounce back to wonder what's to become of Jake Arrieta, how humidors could change home runs, and the new pace-of-play rules.
Boyfriends this week are adorable Jose Altuve and Sir George Chelston Springer III of the Houston Astros, and base thief Trea Turner and under-the-radar Anthony Rendon of the Washington Nationals.

Spring Training for the 2018 Major League Baseball Season has begun, and so has Season 2 of No Crying In Baseball!
This week: The Chicago Cubs are singing "I got Yu babe" after signing pitcher Yu Darvish and the San Diego Padres pick up first baseman Eric Hosmer.
No time for anything else because Patti & Pottymouth are too busy talking about their Boston Red Sox and Arizona Diamondbacks boyfriends. Pottymouth is giddy as a schoolgirl about Mookie Betts and has nothing but respect for David "freight train" Peralta. Patti's hoping Ohio native Andrew Benintendi can get her into his uncle's Garage Mahal and she finally succumbs to Paul Goldschmidt's charms.

It's the end of the first season of No Crying In Baseball! With so many players are still sitting on the hot stove, will the Major League Baseball Players Association plan to open a free agent training camp help get these guys signed? Also, what's going on with Bartolo Colon and Todd Frazier, and what is pro football great Russell Wilson going to do for the Yankees? All that and boyfriends! This week: Ronald Torreyes and Aaron Judge of the New York Yankees; Anthony Rizzo and Javier Baez of the Chicago Cubs.
We'll be back next week with the first episode of season two, kicking off the MLB 2018 season! Remember, find us on Facebook: @NoCryingInBBall
As the Hot Stove draws to a close, Pottymouth has a favorite new TV show and Patti has thoughts on the Cleveland Indians decision to (semi-) retire their racist logo, "Chief Wahoo". The Milwaukee Brewers are looking even stronger after picking up Lorenzo Cain, Christian Yelich, and Matt Albers, while Mookie Betts wins in arbitration with the Red Sox and Major League Baseball tries a little positive reinforcement to shorten game times. All that and Boyfriends from the Minnesota Twins and the Colorado Rockies.
In this special episode, Patti & Pottymouth talk about their 2018 Baseball Hall of Fame inductee boyfriends: Vlad Guerrero, Chipper Jones, Trevor Hoffman, and Jim Thome. They also dig into the apparent steroid-use blacklist for the Hall of Fame and the impact of new statistics on veteran players.
As the Hot Stove simmers on Patti and the Pottymouth trade talk about Austin Jackson, Yu Darvish, and Christian Yelich, with a little Nate Silver on the side. This week's boyfriends courtesy of the Milwaukee Brewers and the Kansas City Royals, and Pottymouth tells us where all the winter baseball can be found.
