With just over a week until NO ENCORE gets its live show on at The Workmans Club – grab your tickets here if you haven’t done so yet – the fab four are in fine fettle for another run through the burning issues of the week. From over-enthusiastic two-stepping to an Anglo-American union more horrifying than anything Galloway could have envisaged, there’s lots to discuss, so let’s not dilly-dally with this introduction any further, yeah?
ACT ONE: A rare peek at Chic, pain at Shania Twain, and a steaming cup of Korn in the morn’ – it’s the news…
ACT TWO: Just the six years after announcing it, Tha Carter V has landed. Lil Wayne’s claim to the title of “the greatest rapper alive” hasn’t seemed too strong in recent times – does his twelfth (yeah, twelfth) studio album change that?
ACT THREE: It was going to take a lot to knock Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper off the “odd couple” perch this week…and then in rocked Olly Murs and Snoop Dogg! Collaborator-less efforts from SOAK, Art Brut and Sharon von Etten round out the Songs of the Week.
EXIT MUSIC: Lilla Vargen, ‘Believe Me’

Decent pun title, that.
NO ENCORE is thrilled to welcome the great Conor O'Brien of Villagers fame to the show this week as he discusses new album The Art of Pretending to Swim, Twin Peaks and a whole lot more.
Elsewhere, the legendary Fionnuala Jones returns on co-host duties amidst a typically raucous episode that is absolutely packed with reviews and news.
Don't forget; NO ENCORE returns to The Workman's Club on Sunday October 14th as part of the Dublin Podcast Festival. Tickets HERE
ACT ONE: Live show announcements and reviews of Mitski and Arctic Monkeys in the live arena.
ACT TWO: So much news including the return of Westlife and Dave's take on the new Netflix documentary on Quincy Jones.
ACT THREE: Conor O'Brien of Villagers in conversation.
ACT FOUR: Suede bring the album of the week in the form of The Blue Hour.
ACT FIVE: Songs of the Week with Chris Cornell, Sufjan Stevens, Mini Mansions, Mumford & Sons and Danny Brown.
EXIT MUSIC: We Had Zillions - 'Endless'

Four revellers happy to be out of the spirit-dampening storm, the boys are back on the NO ENCORE beat once again. They're not alone, either, as Conall and John of We Cut Corners drop by to discuss their new album Imposters. Elsewhere there's a massive Irish album to discuss, some blasts from the past with new tracks, and Colm almost dying from a fit of laughter - let's crack on...
ACT ONE: Kevin Sharkey's bid bites the dust, the economic pressures of music in Dublin are illustrated once again, and the fourteen horsemen of the popocalypse are on the ride - it's the news...
ACT TWO: Two men who make Dave Grohl seem like a galloping bell-end, the We Cut Corners boys pull up a seat to chat new album, old habits, and what they'd play on The O.C. if The Bait Shop came calling/it was 2005.
ACT THREE: The lads sink their teeth into a record bound to cause a splash - but has Conor O'Brien produced another masterstroke as Villagers return with The Art Of Pretending To Swim?
ACT FOUR: Remember The Ting Tings? Yes?! Well you're going to bloody love Songs of the Week then. Also, for the record, featuring Smashing Pumpkins, Health, All Tvvins, and "Avril Lavigne".
EXIT MUSIC: Roisin Murphy, 'Jacuzzi Rollercoaster'

Joyous scenes in NO ENCORE HQ as the status quo officially changes forevermore.
And then the Hozier video takes centre stage and it all gets a bit upsetting.
Elsewhere, the great David Kitt drops by for an in-depth chat as he releases his brand new Like Lightning EP - out now on All City Records - and the boys pour cold water all over The Blaze.
ACT ONE: Yet another big announcement.
ACT TWO: Hozier is back and everyone's lost the run of themselves. Including him.
ACT THREE: The news section finds the team reflecting on the sad and sudden passing of Mac Miller, Paramore make a progressive stance and Fall Out Boy come under righteous fire.
ACT FOUR: David Kitt in conversation talking his latest work, New Jackson and his plans for the future as Dublin continues to become a difficult place for artists to prosper.
ACT FIVE: Podcast favourites The Blaze have dropped debut album Dancehall. Gotta be great, right?
ACT SIX: Songs of the Week with Rostam, Lana Del Rey, Dua Lipa and Kanye West.
EXIT MUSIC: David Kitt - 'Your Blues'

Back in the cosy confines of NO ENCORE Towers - complete with Craig for good measure - the boys are back in business. From plagued planes and useless eulogies to the rise of the Swedish far right, there's plenty to discuss so let's get crackin'...
ACT ONE: Vanilla Ice struggles to keep his cool, Aretha Franklin's funeral gets weird, and Paul McCartney gets deep - it's the news!
ACT TWO: Big Red Machine, the nebulous project from Justin Vernon and Aaron Dessner, has finally taken the form of an album. The question, though, is whether it's any good.
ACT THREE: THEY'RE BACK! Yes, if you've spent the past few years thinking "gosh, it's a bit quiet without Razorlight around" then boy are you going to enjoy our songs of the week. Thom Yorke, Yak, and Bun B's collab with Run The Jewels also feature - but that hardly matters really, does it?
EXIT MUSIC: We Cut Corners, 'Laughing Maniacally'
