Author and Saint Louis History Buff Cameron Collins joins Ryan to talk about his latest book Scenes of Historic Wonder: St. Louis.

The House has recently passed the Preventing Animal Cruelty and Torture Act to outlaw purposefully injuring animals. Guest-host Mike Ferguson questions if we really need a federal law for this sort of thing, when many similar state laws already exist. There’s speculation that the NFL is offering the Los Angeles Chargers to St. Louis in order to sweep past wrongdoings under the rug and right a now-struggling franchise. Lawyers representing the elephant have argued in court that their trunked client be considered a person, in a fresh attempt to upend human dominance over this designation.
