Staying in the Carolinas, Furman University in South Carolina is restricting the speech rights of students by threatening to punish them for wearing Halloween costumes deemed “offensive.” Ferguson can’t fathom the defensive manners society is succumbing to.

The Department of Labor published a new rule Friday that will allow states to expand the number of people who have to pass drug tests to get unemployment benefits. Next, a jury in Texas returned a verdict on Monday that will prevent a Texas dad from intervening in the gender transition of his 7-year-old son. Ferguson questions why a jury would possibly side with the mother in this situation and allow her to permanently disrupt her child’s growth.
