A veteran of both WW2 and the Korean War…he achieved infamy after, in 1956…while gettin’ hammered in his local bar…he made a bet that he could get from New Jersey back to the bar in 15 minutes.
And he won that bet by driving to Jersey, stealing and airplane…and landing it on the street in front of the bar in Manhattan!!!!
Even more crazy, he didn’t go to jail!
But it gets even crazier when, in 1958, when a bar patron didn’t believe his story…HE DID IT AGAIN!!!

The story is nuts…it’s a movie waiting to be made…and we talked to NY writer Larry Yudelson all about it!
