Every once in a while, we all need to hear a great story, which leads us to do something amazing for someone…and this is one of those instances…
Cranston RI resident Victor Butler is one of a handful of men known as The Tuskeegee Airmen still alive.
The Tuskegee Airmen were a group of primarily black military pilots (fighter and bomber) and airmen who fought in WW2.
Men who fought for a country that, sadly, didn’t know much about them at the time, and had to fight for recognition at every turn because of racism.
And as Victor approaches his 100th birthday on May 21st, all this man wants is birthday cards from people all over the country.
So, takes some time today and make a true American hero’s day.
