This week is Disability Voting Rights Week, there are also over 1 million Wisconsin adults with a disability. Anna Anderson a Voting Rights Coordinator for Disability Rights Wisconsin joins Spanning the State to discuss the challenges citizens with disabilities face just to cast their ballots.

Steve Scaffidi of the Political Power Hour joins Brian and Kristin to talk about last night’s presidential debate between former President Donald Trump and Vice President Kamala Harris. They break down both of their performances, their preparation, meme-able moments, and what to expect next.

Anita Johnson from Souls to the Polls joins the show to explain some of the challenges stopping voters from getting registered, especially black voters in Wisconsin. She shares information on how to quickly get registered, early voting information, and navigating in a world without a driver’s license.

Mayor of Kenosha, David Bogdala joins Spanning the State to give an update on how the city is doing four years after the unrest following the shooting of Jacob Blake. Bogdala is the third mayor for the city in 30 years. He talks about the work he and others have done to reset the city, which includes new police chief, instilling trust within the community, they are developing the city economically with investments, and their next area of focus… housing.

Brian Noonan holds down the show once more before Kristin Brey returns. Today he speaks to Investigative Reporter, to break down the new growing “Extremist group” Moms for Liberty about their work to keep discrimination in WI school districts.
