"YOU are the one person in the world that has the most influence on your children’s eternity!"
The most important prayer request on the heart of a Christian parent is that their children will come to know Christ as their personal Saviour. Leading them to Christ can feel like a daunting task, but we must remember that God loves our children even more than we do, and He desires that they come to know Him!
Sarah Boots from Faithful and Flourishing joins me to share God's heart for the salvation of our children and practical ways that we, as mamas, can guide their hearts to Him.

Psalm 127:4 "As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth."
Every Christian is called to spiritual warfare, using two scriptural weapons: the sword (the Word of God) and the arrow (children, Psalm 127:4). Simeon and I discuss how arrows—our children—must be prepared, aimed, and fired to reach their potential. As Christian parents, we prepare and aim our children in their youth, then release them to fight the good fight of faith.

Proverbs 14:1 "Every wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish plucket it down with her hands."
God has made women to be the cultivaters and keepers of home. A wise woman will establish her home on biblical principles that bring glory to her Lord. But what foundations should we build upon?
Join me as I discuss the importance of building our homes on foundations of love, trust, joy, peace, and hospitality.

Welcome to the second episode in the 2025 Missionary Monday series. We will travel around the world experiencing other cultures and peoples as we hear from missionaries. God is at work in this world! We can have a part in that work!
Missionary Patty Sommer joins us to share what her life is like living in Ghana, West Africa. The Sommers have been in the country church planting for over two decades. While planting churches and traning national pastors, they also are involved in literary work.
She talks about raising children on the mission field, navitaging the years of children crossing into adulthood, trusting the Lord, and how we can be all that God desires us to be as we go through different seasons of life.
As a part of NHC Family, these episodes are great to listen to with your spouse and children!

There are different stages in the life of a woman. While I'm still in the reproductive years, I know the perimenopause/menopause stage is on the horizon. As I learn about how God created the female body, I am fascinated! The later season of womanhood can be one that women approach with fear and dread, but do we have to?
While reading Hormone Repair Manual by Dr. Lara Briden, I gleaned so much information on that coming season of life as well as things I can do today to set myself for future health success.

Whaterver my lot, Thou hast taught me to say, It is well, it is well with my soul.
Years ago I heard the story behind the writing of this hymn. Having my eyes opened to the heartbreaking circumstances that led to the writing of this beautiful hymn would change me. I realized that there is rich depth to the hymns we sing in worship. This changed how I worshipped the Lord through song. I began to see God's character shining through hymns I had sung since my childhood.
Join me as we glean truth and encouragement from this beloved hymn of the faith.

There is nothing like a good story. The way it draws you in, captivates you, and leaves you thinking is an experience that young and old alike delight in!
God is the master storyteller. We know that because He wrote the Bible and filled it with stories. Jesus demonstrated this as He time and again used stories to teach eternal truths.
Simeon and I interview our friend, Nathaniel Brown author of The Christian Storyteller. He shares how God has used stories to impact his own life, and how he, as a father, incorporates storytelling into how he instructs his children.
We discuss...
