Our episode today interviews Matt Ward, a Referral & Networking Expert, Author, and Professional Speaker. He is incredibly bright and funny, and if you listen in you might just pick up a few tips and tricks to take your company or business to the next level - leverage your referrals. He ends with telling a story starting a job of driving for Uber and Lyft just to get more chances to practice his speaking and improv skills.

If he were to give a piece of general advice, it would be, "Success is all about building long-lasting meaningful relationships! • Episode 50 - No Labels, No Limits - with Marcia Bennett, entrepreneur with a winning mindset

In our episode today, we interview Marcia Bennett, an entrepreneur with a winning mindset. She has overcome many obstacles that have led her to inspire others with the message that any of us can "make a way out of no way" with the right mindset and fortitude.

Listen in as she tells her story of being a millennial who's constantly on the move, focusing on creative strategies to save time/make more money, and in pursuit of enjoying life.

She gives some advice on best practices, "For an organization, I like to talk about best practices, what worked well. Keep that in the forefront when you start planning for that next year because if it's not broke, don't break it. And then the conversation tool - where do you think you'd like to focus on? What maybe could you work on? But I always, always, always recommend breast practices... Withdraw and then work backwards from there."

  • Episode 49 - No Labels, No Limits - with Glenn Livingston, author, CEO, creator Ph. D and coach

Silence Your Inner Pig and Never Binge Eat Again! Today's guest, Glenn Livingston PhD, gives a fun and insightful interview. Glenn is a formerly obese and food-obsessed psychologist that has learned how to leave binge eating behind.

When asked what his favorite part about his work is, he says, "The most exciting thing is giving people their lives back. Anybody that has actually been stuck with overeating may feel like it's ruining their lives. Like, you know, having a bowl of M&M's seems like a good idea at the moment, but then you spend the day recovering from it and thinking about and it overtakes your mind. The mental obsession drives you crazy and you're not present for life. In mindfulness, we would call this the "monkey mind chatter" and what I think I've discovered is a shortcut or a hack to eliminate the monkey mind so that you can be present in life and people tell me that they have their life back."

  • Episode 48 - No Labels, No Limits - with Donna Blevins, professional speaker and poker player

Our guest, Donna Blevins, is quite an amazing woman with an even more incredible story. She has overcome great hurdles (surviving a stroke and learning to speak again) to become the successful speaker, coach and poker player she is today. Listen in as our 6'5" guest shares unique insights into mind-shift changes.

"I believe that the whole key to our mindset, to our mind shifting, is the words that we choose and the words that we say. My motto has become 'the words we choose, set ourselves up for either success or a failure' because whatever we say, our subconscious hears it as a reality, whether it is or not because our subconscious has no filters. The subconscious is a perfect recorder. It is simply a lousy playback system because it plays back what has been anchored in your subconscious with highly charged emotions."

She leaves us with a final piece of wisdom when facing insurmountable odds, "Remember this, remember to breathe and remember to watch your breath as you breathe, regardless of what you're doing, when you're amidst something that's bothering you. If you think, okay, just take a breath and you take a breath and watch the breath as it goes down into your lungs. And as you exhale, exhale through pursed lips, that moment, one breath and you will come back to the moment. And mindfulness is the key to shifting your mindset and being proactive and taking conscious, consistent action rather than spending your life being a reactive person who continually shoots themselves in the foot. So just take a breath."

  • Episode 47 - No Labels, No Limits - with Karen Walker, trusted consultant and advisor

Listen in today as we interview Karen Walker, President of Oneteam, author and professional speaker. She shares with us her beginnings with Compaq computer to now, as she serves as an executive advisor, speaker, and consultant to CEOs and senior organization leaders to grow their companies successfully while being a good place to work.

On the topic of sufficient time to think and reflect she says, "You're not going to do it if you don't think it's important. Like anything else, we have too many priorities. And so if you don't understand in your core that thinking is important and that really looking at the big picture is important. You're not gonna do it. So, I really recommend getting in a rhythm around this so that you put time dedicated time on your calendar and you hold yourself accountable for taking that time to think."

She also speaks about results, accountability, and delegation. "One of my core tenants is accountability because we all have good intentions. But we really want is for our behaviors to be aligned with our intentions and despite good intentions that will not be the case without a good accountability process."

  • Episode 46 - No Labels, No Limits - with Doug Vermeeren, Personal Power Master

Today's guest, Douglas Vermeeren, is considered one of the top leaders in personal development and achievement psychology. Doug is coming to us from Canada and he's accomplished so much in his young life, as both an author, a trainer, a speaker. Most recently he just released a book, The Personal Power Mastery and we have a lot of questions for Doug! Listen in as he dives deep into his story from simple beginnings to living in the limelight.

"There's a quote that says "The journey to a thousand miles begins with a single footstep'. Well, I'm here to tell you that's useless and the reason why is because the way it should be written, if I was the fortune cookie guy writing that, it would read, "The journey to where you want to go begins with a single footstep in the right direction, because then you would find out that it wouldn't be a thousand miles after all."

"The first thing about success is 1) it needs to be specific and clear. What do we say? A goal that is specific and clear becomes attainable. There also needs to be to some extent a way to measure: smart goal setting."

"Your goals can be very specific, very clear on what you want to attain, but if it's not in harmony with your feelings or values, it's absolutely worthless to what you're trying to do. I think there's a lot of people in today's society who are taking their cues on what success looks like outside themselves."

  • Episode 45 - No Labels, No Limits - with Connie Benjamin, international speaker and author

Connie Benjamin is an international speaker and author of the upcoming book Women With Fire...6 Secrets to Purpose, Profit, and Passion. After sharing her message from the stage to thousands of people, she realized that a book was needed for women entrepreneurs and intrapreneurs who are juggling life, work, and everything in between. Connie knows first hand all the guilt and frustration that many women feel as they seek to make the world a better place through their work and family endeavors. Connie discovered that it was possible to have it all, in the right time, and the right order. It was then that she began to see how she could take her life and sanity back, while creating the life that she always dreamed of.

She shares one of her defining moments: "I knew things needed to change, sitting on the couch with my husband and we were watching tv because at that point in my life that's all we did was watch tv together. And so we were watching TV and I just felt empty. I looked over at him and I felt like I didn't know him anymore. I felt like I didn't know me anymore. I just felt lost and empty and I looked over at him and I said, is this all there is?" As hard as that was, I am so grateful for that moment because in that moment we decided that this is not all there is. And that we would change it and we would take action and we would get our relationship back to where we wanted it to be after kids and no sleep and the chaos of life, we would fall in love again and we did."

Learn more about Connie here:   Facebook: www.facebook.com/connie.benjamin.50 Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/connie.benjamin.50/?hl=en   LinkedIn: www.linkedin.com/in/connie-benjamin-73b9bb20/   This offer begins in January: www.womenwithfire.com - download a free app on this website to get access to my pre-release book chapter, videos, and a lot of great content.     Her Book Women with Fire...6 Secrets to Purpose, Profit & Passion will be done with final editing by April 2019. • Episode 44 - No Labels, No Limits - with Shanon Lee, Writer Extraordinaire

Today's guest is a passionate writer for many well-known publications, a producer and director of a short film, with a background in human resources and mental health counseling, and an all-around rock star! We welcome Shanon Lee!

Her bylines include Cosmopolitan, ELLE, Marie Claire, Playboy, Good Housekeeping, Woman’s Day, Redbook, Women’s Health, Time Out New York Magazine and Prevention Magazine. To top that, she is currently a contributor for The Lily at The Washington Post.

When interviewed, Shanon shares how she has overcome many challenges and obstacles. She shares with us how she transitioned into a successful career in media as a divorced mom and survivor of sexual assault. Her story starts at a young age with her first relationship, where her boyfriend turned abusive very early on. Listen in as she shares her story.

"I've been writing about sexual assault and domestic violence publicly since 2013, so I'm kind of known for sharing that narrative. My focus is always to share my experiences with women, help women get to the next level as it relates to their businesses, or their writing practice, or the media experience that they want to cultivate."

Shanon also shares her success habits:

"I have really worked on being realistic and being kind to myself. I think a lot of things that we do, even as it relates to taking professional risks have to do with being able to work through your fears and also recognize your value. I know specifically for women, we have a lot of issues working through limiting beliefs. We listen to a lot of the messaging that comes in, and a lot of it's negative. We are conditioned to play small and we're conditioned to consider ourselves last."
