The 2022/2023 season finally comes to an official end as Man City are crowned Champions League winners to cap off their historic treble.

Man City march on towards their historic treble despite Man United's efforts. A goal in 13 seconds from Gundogan saw City comfortably get through the Manchester Derby FA Cup final, despite the referee's best efforts.

José Mourinho causes quite the storm as his on pitch and off pitch antics against referee Anthony Taylor see's an innocent man being accosted in an airport as he tries to go about his day. Sevilla meanwhile win ANOTHER Europa League, beating Roma on penalties This should set them up nicely for another Europa League win next year.

The Saudi Arabian League has kicked into high gear as they are throwing money at anyone with a name that can kick a ball well. Balon Dor winner Benzema has joined and it looks like some more names are soon to follow. Is this China 2.0? Or is this the beginning of the new Premier League.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic retires from the game after an incredible career where he played with some of the greats. Some of which he remembers more fondly than others.

And so the dust settles on a very entertaining and also very long season.  Man City are champions, Arsenal finish second, Man United and Newcastle are in the top 4. All that was left to confirm was the relegation battle between Leicester, Leeds and Everton.

Before it all wraps up though Erik Ten Hag rouses the Old Trafford faithful with a stirring speech before their FA Cup final derby against Manchester City, can they stop the treble?

Another chapter in Leicester's incredible story as they've had more ups and downs than any other club we can think of in the last few years.

Man City are officially crowned 2022/2023 Premier League Champions as Arsenal slump to defeat against Nottingham Forest on a 'very sad day' for the club according to Mikel Arteta. Putting the charges aside City were deserved winners in the end but the huge asterix beside the title does taint things a little. We ask where does Pep go from here and when or how does the dominance end?

Further down the table it's coming down to the final day as Leicester Leeds and Everton all vie for survival in must win games.

Over in Spain, La Liga has a real problem on their hands as Vinicius Jr is once again subject to racist abuse from fans during a game against Valencia, which also saw him rather unfairly sent off. The La Liga presidents comments refusing to condemn the actions has seen countless players and managers coming out in support of Vinicius and could really snowball into something that could hopefully bring in real change.

It looks like the Premier League season is well and truly wrapped up as Arsenal whimper to a 3-0 defeat at home to Brighton in what is surely the end of their title hopes. At least that's what captain Odegaard seems to think. While Man City cruise to another easy victory thanks to Gundogan and Erling Haaland's new found supplement based athleticsm.

The Top 4 race reaches it's climax with it all still to play for as Newcastle drop points to Big Sam's Leeds. While Man United and Liverpool win, it all comes down to the final few games for each team and the pressure is mounting.

Gary Neville and Jamie Carragher were joined by Howard Webb in the MNF studios as they analyzed some cherry picked audio from the VAR room of some moments throughout the season.
