VP Harris's calling out Central American failures as a root cause of our southern border immigration problems is a novel and positive step.

Air Date June 4, 2021.  The complete irrationality of the grievance-based former republican party in matters of fact and tone make it increasingly apparent that bipartisanship in any traditional sense is virtually impossible. Democrats are essentially negotiating against themselves. And the Trumpian base is becoming an increasingly unstable force. President Biden must be so guided. With Friday Co-Host David Bach.

CLR Show 1560. Air Date June 2, 2021. Hard as it may be to imagine, republicans/trumpians in the house, senate and state legislatures have settled on the dismantling of democracy as their only short term path to political power, with the implicit and ill-founded hope that the system will somehow self-correct once Donald is off the stage. Democrats must do a full public investigation of 1/6 and force through uniform voting laws.

CLR Show 1558. Air Date May 26, 2021. Continuing to embrace Donald is like eating a gallon of ice cream a day––just for the energy boost. The January 6th Commission will be formulated and, together with NY indictments coming down around Thanksgiving, will make Donald a progressively larger liability as the 2022 Midterm Elections draw nearer.

Air Date May 24, 2021.  As insane and easy a target as Marjorie Taylor Greene may be, Progressive Media has no right to mis-state or misinterpret her ramblings in order to make a Progressive political point on a given day. She did not make an anti-semitic remark on May 23rd. Suggesting she did––because it furthers a commentator's story line––does far more long-term harm to Progressives than it does to Trumpians. 

CLR Show 1557. Air Date May 21, 2021.  Trumpian leaders are consciously moving us toward the failsafe point of our Jeffersonian Democracy. It rests with them primarily to halt the process––and that can only be done through a vigorous repudiation of Donald and his lies. With CLR Friday Co-Host David Bach.

May 19, 2021.  There are more similarities than differences between the current state of America and nearly-at-war Germany.  Our future rests with our ability to face and confront the threat that might have taken down our government on January 6th, no matter where the facts lead, or to risk finding ourselves on the wrong side of some future Nuremberg Trial, replete with its own 'Ernst Janning' condemnation.

Air Date May 17, 2021.  Both the trumpian congress and Bebe Natanyahu are playing the same dangerous game: using fear and anger for immediate political ends (The House in 2022 for the trumpians) and assuming things will calm down––or at least become more manageable––once their ends have been achieved.  It is a dangerous and grossly irresponsible game, and places the lives of billions at risk.
