“Masculine & FeminineEnergy, Roles & Identity”
@nonperishablegoods podcast episode #59
Lately, there seems to be another peak in the battle of the sexes possibly ushered in by social media relationship gurus or even Justin Laboy, the late Kevin Samuels, Andrew Tate, America's political parties policies that are at the forefront of the campaign trail, or even your favorite rnb album that just dropped. However, it came to be the never-ending conversation about masculine and feminine energy and women wanting to live a soft life, and men professing women have too many requirements has finally caught my attention.
I personally never thought too much about these things while clicking through social media because the points people were making were pointless chatter that never truly made sense for modern society. It's now dominating people's thoughts and actions so we felt it was time to add our narrative on masculine and feminine energy, roles and identity. Masculine and feminine energy refer to certain qualities or tendencies associated with masculinity and femininity, while gender roles are societal expectations tied to specific gender identities. Masculine and feminine energy can be present in individuals regardless of their gender identity, and gender roles can differ among cultures and societies. As I've looked into this I find it extremely interesting. It's brought me to reflective moments of self, which is always a great place to be. We didn't get it all right in this episode, but the exploration of these abstract and dynamic concepts are well worth the deep dive.
