    “Tech Savvy or Tech Scammy?”
    @nonperishablegoods podcast episode #56
    Living in a capitalist society the goal is always going to be to make money in a free market whether it's legit or not. To protect our investments we have to research everything and don't allow your fear of missing out (FOMO) get the best of us. Over the decades, the technology industry creates hype around something, for example dotcoms, that makes a lot of money for first movers, and then that bubble bursts. NFTs were no different. The infrastructure behind NFTs is groundbreaking, and will continue to be developed, but this was the fastest rise and fall I've witnessed in my lifetime with major financial impact on "new money". In this episode we discuss NFTs, the state of the metaverse and cryptocurrency investments.

  • Lies Are Expensive, Ask Fox News

    “Lies Are Expensive, Ask Fox News”

    @nonperishablegoods podcast episode #55

    Depending on what sphere of information you are nestled inside you may not have heard that Fox News, owned by Rupert Murdoch, settled out of court for $787.5 million dollars for lying to the masses by defaming Dominion Voting Systems. You know the big lie Trump and other leaders in our government misled the masses about that incited an insurrection on 1/6. Well, that same lie cost Fox News almost a billi. Oh, what a time to be alive. Lies are expensive, and we discuss it in this episode.

    @nonperishablegoods podcast episode #54

    "Running Your Mouth Will Catch Up w/ You"

    @nonperishablegoods podcast episode #53
    The infamous rainbow rapper Tekashi 69 was recently jumped while working out at a popular gym in Florida. It was really only a matter of time before something like this would happen. His mouth and taunting people to harm him is so reckless. I don't care how bad you think you are, there's always someone with a bigger gun. We discuss all the conspiracies and scenarios we've heard. They are pretty outrageous; just like 6ix9ne.

  • You Can't See Me

    "You Can't See Me"

    @nonperishablegoods podcast episode #52
    Many were introduced to Caitlin Clark of the Iowa Hawkeyes and Angel Reese of the LSU Tigers after these two dynamic basketball players battled it out for their teams during the women's NCAA championship game. It WAS a good game, but what actually got all of America's twitter fingers going was because Angel made a "you can't see me" hand gesture, made popular by John Cena, to Caitlin that many viewed as unsportsmanlike while others viewed it as competitive.
    People were extremely critical of Angel yet Caitlin was exercising the exact same hand gesture throughout the tournament. This led to many asking why the double standard? What's the difference? So, in American fashion many felt it was due to race. Then, to heighten the hysteria Jill Biden invited the losing team (Iowa - Caitlin) to the white house, which is unprecedented since only winners (LSU - Angel) have only been invited. This situation is just another chapter in the series of Race Rules Everything Around Me.

  • The Evolution of WOKE

    "The Evolution of WOKE"

    @nonperishablegoods podcast episode #51
    When the mainstream makes something cool that has been in certain communities for decades it loses its razzle dazzle, BUT when the initial meaning of the word is co-opted and given an entirely new meaning it's extremely cringe.
    Ladies and gentlemen I lift up to you the word, WOKE. You can't get away from hearing it being thrown around in the political arena. Woke's original meaning went from something uplifting and being aware of what's really going on in society by African American communities to a political movement for progressives, then into a derogatory term used by conservatives. Depending on when you were born and what bubbles of information you float through you may have missed a few pieces to this puzzle. Let's get into it!

  • Should I Rock With Tik Tok?

    "Should I Rock With Tik Tok?"

    @nonperishablegoods podcast episode #50
    Just get it out of your head that you have any type of privacy on social media no matter what platform you use. Last year, Mark Zuckerberg (CEO of Meta: Facebook & Instagram) was in the same seat as Tik Tok's CEO Shou Zi Chew yesterday in front of the US congressional House Commerce and Energy Committee. It was a bipartisan effort to find out if China has been using Tik Tok as a surveillance tool threatening our national security, as well as if their algorithm negatively impacts our youth by feeding them dark topics such as suicide, eating disorders and misinformation in all areas including deadly health advice and/or "challenges".

  • Uganda's Anti-Homosexual Bill

    "Uganda's Anti-Homosexual Bill"

    @nonperishablegoods podcast episode #49
    Today, the Ugandan legislature reinforced their anti-homosexual bill that may be signed into law as soon as tomorrow. It is filled with harsher punishments for people who support, engage in or promote homosexual activities or lifestyle. If convicted you can either spend life in prison or receive the death penalty.
    Most African nations and many nations outside of the United States are conservative, religious and advocate for traditional family values. Today, America feels a bit more free, but maybe we are too sexually liberated whether hetero or homosexual? The freedom and progressive steps made here in America are being countered domestically and internationally.
    As a Christian, I don't see how imprisonment or murdering people for having homosexual preference in the name of God is even supported biblically. Especially, when Jesus died for our sins, but if you don't believe in God how can a government impose their beliefs on you if the goal is to achieve a civil, peaceful society? We discuss all this and more.

  • Body Odor Part 2

    "Body Odor Part 2"  @nonperishablegoods podcast episode #48

    The perfectionist in me had to do a part 2 on body odor because there were just a couple things I had to touch on that were missed. As I type this a few other things have come to mind, but just know that if you increase your water intake, eat a balanced diet full of deodorizing leafy greens it will help manage all forms of body odor immensely. Also, after this show I felt convicted in my actions. I no longer flush my wet wipes. I found a wonderful solution on Amazon :-)

    Over the last few years or so social media has been in an uproar about bad breath, body odor and people not bathing for days at a time. I honestly think people are being so vocal about it now because, unfortunately, there are always consequences of actions. Let's think back to several years ago when music started making it mainstream to "eat the groceries" that could have sparked the epidemic of bad breath???? lol, Living through the covid pandemic people may have got lax in their hygiene regimen so now many people are experiencing the effects.

    Just know you are not alone. If we are honest with ourselves we all have dealt with body odors from ourselves and/or loved ones. In a perfect world, those we share environments with would be more kind and offer you help or guidance in love, but that's not how the real world works. So, in this episode, we talk about all things body odor, and we try to equip you with the best practices to keep your stink to a minimum.

  • Body Odor SEASON 2 Ep. 47

    "Body Odor"  @nonperishablegoods podcast episode #47

    Ladies, do you know if your leggings are made out of a breathable fabric to keep your vaginal flora in harmony? Fellas, have you looked into the penis pocket briefs yet to compartmentalize your man parts? If not, you may have noticed you have an odor down there...yeaaaaah there.
