- Fantastic Mr. Fox
Josh is a curmudgeon - to no one’s surprise, surely - but he is in rare form as we tackle Wes Anderson’s take on the Roald Dahl classic, Fantastic Mr. Fox. Much like Ralph Wiggum on live TV, you can almost hear Clancy’s heart breaking as Josh carelessly grouses over a fine film featuring beautifully crafted, cleverly directed, and hopefully ethically sourced puppets.

1 hr 4 min - The Sorcerer's Apprentice
You know how to be certain we enjoy doing this for you? We sat through Nic Cage’s agonizing attempt to turn The Sorcerer's Apprentice into a National Treasure-esque franchise. Even stalwart character actor Alfred Molina can’t save you from the black magic that is this film. Strap in, kids. It’s about to get wacky.

1 hr 14 min - Muppet Haunted Mansion
It would have been ghoulish of us to overlook brand new seasonal delight Muppet Haunted Mansion, so of corpse we buried ourselves in it. It was an absolute scream, and we hope it gives a glimpse into the future of the Muppet brand rising from the dead.

56 min - Mr. Boogedy
Y’all. What the hell is this? Who was this for? Did any of you watch Mr. Boogedy in your youth and like it? Please, let us know. Someone needs to explain this to us. We’ve got a Who’s Who of 80s and 90s TV talent bumbling around bad practical jokes and an ineffectual puritan ghost… for what? And there’s a SEQUEL?? Lordt.

50 min - Star Wars: Visions
Our backs are sore, our noses are peeling, and our bank account is depleted - all thanks to a trip to a trading post in a galaxy far, far away. This week we recap our adventure to Black Spire Outpost at Disneyland - including a debrief of our experience on Rise of the Resistance - which inevitably lead us to chucking out what we had planned to talk about for this week in order to keep talking about Star Wars with brand new Disney+ content.

20 min - Disney Gallery: The Mandalorian S2 Finale
We take another crack at short-form content this week by taking a look at the Disney Gallery breakdown of the Season 2 finale of The Mandalorian. We gush about how cute and mischievous Mark Hamill is, we get into some wildf VFX trickery, and we get tired of listening to Favreau try to explain blockchain. Either watch the show before listening or don’t, but know that there are SPOILERS ABOUND!

45 min - What If… We Didn’t Watch a Movie?
Time got away from us at the start of the month, and if nothing else we figured 2021’s Marvel What If..? was kind of on theme with that. It’s hard to riff on something you genuinely enjoy, especially when you’re not professional riffers. So kick back and listen to our relatively chill review of Captain Carter, and let us know what you think! What would be your dream What If story?

46 min - Inspector Gadget (1999)
This may be the first time we’re not worried about ruining a childhood favorite. If you just clutched your pearls, maybe go watch it again. Then we can talk. This really could have been so much better. Or maybe it never needed to be made? This might be worse than that Garfield one, y’all. Surprise shout out aside, this was… short. That’s the best we can say.

1 hr 22 min - The Black Cauldron (1985)
Neither of us had seen 1985’s The Black Cauldron before watching it for the show, only to find out we couldn’t have until we were too old to care. We both missed whatever made this a cult classic for many Disney fans, and unfortunately we do night have a scrying sow to help us understand what all the fuss is about. We love good high fantasy. This is not good high fantasy. Sorry ‘bout it?
