The World Cup kicked off today [THURS]... and while the opening match was in Mexico, Seattle had its own celebration on Pier 62 and a floating barge.

Central Oregon Community College will award close to 900 degrees and certificates at its commencement ceremony this weekend [[JUN 13]].

The University of Oregon broke ground today/Thursday on a new building in Portland. The construction will expand the school’s Ballmer Institute on the former Concordia University campus.

Nine students graduated from Central Oregon Community College’s Prison Education Program this week [[on Tues]]. They were part of the first class to earn an associates degree while serving time inside prison. Kathryn Styer Martínez reports.
