Nirvana will rightly be inducted into the hall it’s the first year they’re eligible, April 10  Bassist Krist Novoselic lobbied for Channing to be inducted alongside himself, Grohl and Kurt Cobain, but that prodding wasn’t enough.

  • Blake Noble Perfects the Art of the Didgeridoo and Rocks Seattle
NWP welcomes new Seattle resident, musician Blake Noble! Australian Multi Instrumentalist Blake Noble has spent much of the last few years touring internationally while developing his incredible, unique guitar style mixed with Yidaki (Didgeridoo), and gaining an enthusiastic fan base everywhere he goes. Blake is sometimes compared to Xavier Rudd, John Butler, Tommy Emmanuel, Michael Hedges and Rodrigo y Gabriella. Blake has endorsements with Cole Clark Guitars, Elixir Strings, K&K Sound, Bigfoot Stompboxes, Didgeridoo Breath, and Grown Vision.
In his adopted new home town of Seattle, his talent is in high demand with various music festivals, venues and numerous tv and radio appearances already under his belt. Following a hugely successful first year in the USA, Noble launched a kickstarter campaign to help pay for his new album; aptly named Underdog. Living up to the name, Blake raised over $10,000 and proved that although he is a relative new-comer to the Pacific NW, he already has a strong following that is building as word spreads. 'Perpetual Leader' was chosen as a semi finalist in the International Songwriting Competition 2013 in the Instrumental section (out of over 16,000 entries).

  • Lorraine Pascale from Super Model to Top Chef Stops By Music by Kate Lynne Logan
NWP welcomes Lorraine Pascale. Lorraine grew up in Oxfordshire with her adoptive mother. At age 11 she achieved a 100 per cent scholarship to go to a boarding school in Devon. Aged 16, she was spotted by a model scout while shopping in Covent Garden. She was whisked off to New York and held her own amongst the biggest names of the day for some of the world’s most successful designers including Chanel, Lagerfeld, John Galliano, Versace, Benetton and Donna Karan. She was also the first British black model on the cover of American Elle.
Although Lorraine had a fabulous time modelling, she gave it up as she wanted to find something she was really passionate about and something that would take her through her 30s and beyond. So in between modelling jobs, she enrolled on loads of courses to find out what would really make her tick including hypnotherapy and interior design. It was not until she enrolled on a year-long cookery course at Leith’s that Lorraine finally knew what she wanted to do.
On completing the Leith’s Diploma of Food and Wine, Lorraine did a two year foundation degree in International Culinary Arts in Pastry and then worked in some of the most renowned kitchens of the world, including Petrus, The Mandarin Oriental, Gilgamesh and The Wolseley.
Lorraine’s cookery career is going strong. A long held dream was realised with her first television cookery series ‘Baking Made Easy’ a prime time TV show on BBC Two. http://www.lorrainepascale.com

  • Ninth Floor Mannequin-Waking from a Coma and Producing Amazing Brain Music
Ninth Floor Mannequin is Jarrod Pedone. So, Ninth Floor Mannequin has been the drummer, composer, engineer & producer for other bands & directors for years. However, Green & Blue for Blackness is the debut solo release. The whole EP was handled from start to finish by Jarrod while he was in recovery from a nasty accident. Upon waking up, he had some musical skills to resharpen and the time to make the music that played in his head into a reality. Jarrod previously never wanted to be “That drummer who thinks that the band should start doing his songs.” However, in his unusual circumstances, Ninth Floor Mannequin & Green & Blue for Blackness were born. Drawing lyrical inspiration from classic short stories and trying to make the music reflect those stories was a creative and musical challenge. Green & Blue for Blackness and even the name, Ninth Floor Mannequin, were the result.
Ninth Floor Mannequin lives indefinitely with the record button on. There is a handful of new ideas already sitting on a hard drive somewhere. As usual, the next release is already in progress. Whether the songs will be about spaceships or World War II is still TBD. However, it probably will not be about a cute girl who works at the coffee shop. One thing is for certain. It sure has been an interesting ride from a drum throne at a punk band practice in Staten Island to the front of the stage as Ninth Floor Mannequin.

  • Chad Channing Reflects on Nirvana and His New Band Before Cars
NWP welcomes Chad Channing and his new band Before Cars
Yes, much like The Beatles has Pete Best, unbeknown to many, Nirvana has Chad Channing. Channing drummed for Nirvana during the recording of their debut record, Bleach. But then, following alleged frustrations over the band’s songwriting process, Channing decided to walk away, giving way to the incomparable Dave Grohl.
Yes, Chad Channing walked away from a band that would later go on to define an entire generation.
And even though he did play drums on the band’s debut album, it’s just not enough to land Channing an induction into the Rock N’ Roll Hall of Fame. Nirvana will rightly be inducted into the hall — it’s the first year they’re eligible — on April 10 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, US. Apparently bassist Krist Novoselic lobbied for Channing to be inducted alongside himself, Grohl and Kurt Cobain, but that prodding wasn’t enough.
Now Chad as a new hot band "Before Cars" and this time around, he is right where he wants to be!
