On this weeks episode, Ellis and I are back to chat about our working lives in steel toe cap boots, the high vis shirts and hard hats. A job that I never thought I would see myself doing but here I am two years on with a whole lot of stories to tell both good and bad!
Most girls in Sydney will probably find themselves with a stop/slow bat in their hands at some stage over here or at least has a friend that has.
It's full of ups and downs and it's how Ellis and I became friends so I suppose that's one positive I can take from the last two years.
If you have ever wondered what life as a traffic controller is all about, how to get into it or you just want to hear us talk shite again then have a listen.
I hope you enjoy the episode.
Thanks so much for listening!

On this weeks episode, as you can tell from the title I am joined by my lovely wee Scottish pal, Ellis, to chat all things Love Island. Whether you love it or hate it you have to admit it is slightly addictive. Scrambled heads, fried eggs, liars, cheaters, over dramatic, playing games, fakeness and who we love the most are just some of the things we discuss in the episode. You also get a lovely treat from the music teacher herself and I'm hoping she can write me a song that I can make my permanent intro. Apologies for the shouting at the beginning but I'm not sorry for our accent attempts.
I hope you enjoy the episode and if you were hoping to hear us chat about traffic control, then you will have to wait another little while as we decided to split it into two episodes.
Thanks so much for listening!

On this week's episode I was blessed to be in the (virtual) presence of the hilarious Pamela Joyce from one of Ireland’s national radio stations, Today Fm.
Pamela is the original Irish Mammy skit woman and it was those videos that, and not without a lot of behind the scenes graft, propelled her to where she is today with her very own evening show on Today FM.
We chat about how her blogger skit videos led her to be blocked by a few of them, how she managed to cheer up the nation through Covid and her own struggles with her mental health.
Pamela is such a down to earth gal and another great conversation that proves that if you don’t really know what career you want to do you will eventually find your way to something that makes you happy.
She is also a lyrical genius and should be writing raps for Cardi B any time soon. If you know you know!
You can listen to Pamela live on Today FM from Sunday to Thursday between 7 and 10pm. Or if you are here in Sydney, like myself, you can tune in via the Today FM app live on Monday to Friday from 4am to 7am or listen back whenever you want thanks to the app.
I hope you enjoy the episode x

On this week's episode I am chatting to the lovely Roberta Harrington from Shop Bobby. You may have come across her amazing healthy recipes on Instagram and if you haven't you need to!!
Roberta talks about her change from being a secondary school teacher and moving from that stability to doing something that truly makes her happy and brings out her passion of healthy living.
Life wasn’t always so rosy for her though, as she spoke publicly for the first time about her years of struggling with bulimia and the hard work she put into being where she is now - happy and healthy.
There’s so much more to this episode but I’ll just let you listen to find out the rest!
Hope you enjoy the episode and thanks again to Roberta for being so open and honest!

It's absolutely no surprise to anyone that Australian borders have been closed since Covid took off well over a year ago now. The last few weeks in particular have been very hard for every expat here because it seems the likelihood and hope we had towards borders opening any time soon have been dashed. More and more stories of families that have been separated through deaths, illnesses and every sort of life changing event you can think of both good and bad have come to everyone's attention.
Most of us that are left here in Australia are here because we've built futures for ourselves here, we plan on staying here for many more years to come or possibly forever for some. The situation that people have found themselves in now, because of these border closures, is a decision that nobody should be left with in such a difficult time. Do we pack up our lives and futures here and go home to be with our families and leave everything behind us? A lifechanging decision on top of everything all to be made in a matter of days for some people.
Parents of citizens not allowed to come in to support their children during illness, citizens struggling to get back home to see their kids, caps put on numbers coming in making it even harder than it already was yet celebs are arriving here not a problem?!
We want to go home it's been long enough! If the rich and famous are allowed then why can't we?
This episode is me rambling on about these issues and so much more. The more noise made the better because we've been quiet long enough.

On this week's episode I am chatting with North Kerry legend, Adrian Allen. From starting off as an electrician back in Lixnaw, working in the mines in Australia and barely hitting the arse of the punching bag in Muay Thai, he tells me about the journey that has led him to where he is now both mentally and physically.
This isn't just a podcast about health and fitness but more of a story of getting to where you want to be in life, doing what truly makes you happy and connecting with people while doing so.
Adrian is a gas character and radiates positivity and good energy. He went from weekend benders and drinking holidays to finding what he really loves in a fitness holiday of all things.
Check out his Instagram @aidoalan to get his health and fitness tips and just to see what crazy things he gets up to next!

On this episode of the podcast I chat with two friends, Mark and Barry, about their experiences with growing up gay in Ireland. In a country that considered homosexuality to be a crime until 1993, just one year before they were born, it’s no surprise that they faced different difficulties when growing up and coming to terms with their sexuality.
Catholicism and rural Ireland are two of the factors we discuss but the lads are so positive and will definitely be a shining light for anyone who is struggling with their sexuality.
If you need a good laugh these two will have you in stitches with all their stories from the gay clubs in Bristol and I’m so excited for you to listen and take something positive from it like I did!
