I had the great pleasure to talk with Jeff Wilson, one-half of the writing duo Andrews and Wilson, well known for their Tier One series of books with settings in elite warrior units. Their latest book is the third in the Shepherd Series trilogy. It is the story of a legendary NAVY SEAL who is forced to retire due to injury; he joins a private security firm that fights not only kinetic battles, but spiritual warfare where SEALs and other Special Operators are teamed up with spiritual Shepherds. I wholly endorse the series.Jeff spoke of so much more than the books. He spoke about the power of God, who each of us is fighting something and what his faith meant to him when he was called to “do horrible things to horrible people.”
I have failed at times to recognize the heroics of people who fight The Party in their quiet, dignified, shrewd and even godly ways. To the quiet soldiers, thank you and please forgive me. To the Podcast family: Please let me be the example of horrible pride from which you might draw a lesson.
