Linebacker was expected to be one of the better parts of the defense in 2022, but it never panned out that way. The unit was inconsistent, and at times was the weak link on the defense. If the Irish are going to field a championship defense in 2023 the unit must play much, much better. The players need to do better, but the most important area for improvement is from a coaching standpoint.
