Angeli's addition to the quarterback room revives a quarterback competition that had seemingly been won by LSU transfer Rickie Collins in spring ball. 

Collins' thumb injury and the addition of Angeli, a quarterback with limited experience but someone who has played in 8 games and the College Football Playoff for the Irish, creates an intriguing battle for the top spot.
