Brian and I have known Adam for years. We have been with him from the very start of his moving to New Zealand from the USA journey. He is a wonderful and valued member of our NZ Ahead community.

So when Adam told us that he and his family were moving to New Plymouth, in Taranaki (on the North Island of New Zealand), we were thrilled!

But then, Adam decided to shift after trying life in rural New Zealand. (Crikey...was it something we said???)

In this episode, you will discover how a family, determined to make living in New Zealand as wonderful as they dreamed of, overcame the uncomfortableness of moving across the country. Adama also shares the differences he has found between Aucklan and Taranaki, and why their new life in Auckland is everything they hoped for.

Today, we speak with one of our NZ Ahead community members; Leizel and her family are from South Africa. Today, she very bravely shares the story of how, after arriving in New Zealand, her husband went on a hunting trip.

That trip went horribly wrong. It left Leizels husband, Russell, fighting for his life in Waikato Hospital, NZ.

This episode is sensitive and emotional.

It is the story of how a South African family, thousands of miles away from the place they once called home, coped in New Zealand at such a terrifying time.

This episode is a testament to the New Zealand emergency services. To the healthcare system and the staff involved in Russel's recovery.
