New Kingdom understandings from Jesus:

1. Don't make promises you can't control. (‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭34‬-‭36‬‬)

2. Let your words and promises stand alone; anything more is deceit. (‭‭Matthew‬ ‭5‬:‭37‬‬)

All you need to say is simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’; anything beyond this comes from the evil one.
